Sukhois need replacement and there's no money. Soldiers still like Vietnam War era no body armour, lack radios, ATGMs and SAMs. Helicopters all decades old and barely any guns. Our Boustead so pro, 4x4 also can't design whereas our neighbour's homemade APCs are sold to the West! Tech transfer my ass, songlap only got lah...

When you realise how shit our military parade is then you know why... all the crap hardware bought along with the so-called 'technology transfers'*... Sukhois have no foreseeable replacement, infantry still so weaksauce, armed helicopters also didn't have until recently...

The most infuriating part is that we're so close. Scorpene is an ok sub, Gowind delivers a lot of bang, A400M and Sukhoi also first class... but all the songlap and the USD CGPA means the whole army is just a halfhearted mess...

*Technology transfer is so that we can build the stuff domestically, saving money and generating jobs and revenue. E.g. Steyr rifle. But now you see everything we buy has got hundreds of millions paid as 'tech transfer' and I ask you what are we actually building ourselves? Not even 4x4 after all this time.
