Our Boustead so pro, 4x4 also can't design whereas our neighbour's homemade APCs are sold to the West! Tech transfer my ass, songlap only got lah...

And what's so good if u have beautiful parade when all their soilder are conscripts? Bet many will chicken at conflict. U can't force a person to fight effectively if he is not willing.
Compare to Malaysia where all the soilders made the choice to join so they are more dedicated to the job.
SG soilder need maid for logistics support!

Besides, I'm not that convinced yet. Still think Indon, Thai, Viet and SG have a better army, hardware and numbers wise at least. Spec ops kita best, ada beberapa biji hardware yang baik. But then ada room for improvement kan?
I ikut military as hobby only, yang pro punya sila beri tunjuk ajar. But then I *am* a little bit more informed than most. TLDM vs, e.g. RSN, Twardy vs Leopard etc, mampu dibezakan (walau tersasur cakap Sukhoi dengan MIG tadi....).
Jangan anggap ini sebagai disrespect kepada para pendekar negara. Padahal I wish peruntukan untuk tentera ditinggikan, bukan saja hardware tetapi gaji dan perks juga. Sanggup korban nyawa, harus diberi rezeki.
Well "in ASEAN only Philippines has a worse army" suggests you feel not only our hardware but our personnel (eg skills, dedication) is one of the worst. Is it possible an army folk could just read that post and feel you "disrespect kepada para pendekar negara"?

if you are talking about the palace guard shot by the bodyguard, do note that the bodyguard was privately hired by another jealous heir to the throne, and preventing the official bodyguards (police) from doing their jobs.
its a household affair. the previous sultan was incapacitated without appointing a heir. one of the heir hired private bodyguards to "protect" the incapacitated sultan, bringing him to outside of this country so that the official bodyguards have no power in such matter.
the current sultan of kelantan requested police to rescue his father, the UTK responded. this ensues.

Just did a simple google. 2015 military budget: MY USD5.4 billion vs SG $9.5 billion. All down to $$$$. More budget = more assets ( = more songlap too).
From I read from SG military news/forum, mostly they are actually counting on MY if there is any other external threat (eg Indonesia, Australia, PRC). MY vs SG in war is next to impossible. No need to jelly each other.
