I can still make calls and messages and receive them. Tried calling Hotlink's customer service but they kept hanging up on me. There was a post on the old Maxis Forum on this. Maxis Forum question Is this what I need to do as well?

apn is only for special services like mms, ims, internet, etc for PS portion. so call and sms won't be affected as they fall under CS as of now.

Update!!! I was actually going to contact them via Facebook but my internet connection crapped out. So the next day I went to a Maxis centre and 3 minutes later they gave my phone back all good.
