hi, guys i do not have any guppy but i do enjoy 2 things in pets as fish.

1. i enjoy to see younger generation to come
2. i enjoy looking at them to grow.

last time my gold fish lay egg all around my fish tank and stick all over my fish tank. i see them grow half way all die. that time i was only 5 years old.


i would like to know where to get good guppy to breed them? then of course i would like to sell them later on to cover some cost for the rest of the guppy. i have a fish tank about 180cm long.

If possible, please attend the gathering tonight.

nie ada nak tanya sikit pasal ikan gupy aku, memule dulu setup 2 kaki aquarium + pokok hidup, problem bila bnyak campor2 beli dr kedai berlainan dah kene white spot.


pastu dah buang semua ikan + air dan semua dlm tu dah di cuci baik2 punya, then beli ikan lagi, semuanya ok, lepas seminggu ikan mula stat mati, sebelum mati sirip 'tangan' yang dekat insang tu sebelah x boleh gerak macam cacat/sakit then mesti ikan tu mati, kiranya tiap2 hari dah jadi mati, makin kurang dah ikan tu, macam mana nak mengubat dan apa penyakitnya macam tu ?

if nak setup dr mula apa yang sebaik2nya nak topop dalam aquarium tu supaya semua ikan sehat dr mula? harap dpt lah tolong hya,, pk pk nak bela ikan lain tapi sayang pulak sebab mmg lawa gupy nie + pulak suka tgk kalau dah beranak dan membiak. ok tu ajer nak cerite, terima kasih ya

depend lo quality air paip rumah u lah...terus dari paip atau ada tangki air dan filter ke tak, ape jenis filter ....

biasanya anticlorine + garam jadi ler....untuk tank dengan ikan sahaja

planted tank kene cycle betul betul baru tambah ikan lo

harap dapaT membantu sikit

tambah garam ? nie baru 1st time dengar tambah garam hehehe, yg jd masalahnya lepas seminggu baru problem, pastu berturut2 mati 3-4 ekor sehari

EM.... Berapa bnyk ekor u put to gather ni?? air dari kedai tu u tuang same ke dalam fish tank?ape syntom sebelum its say bye bye?

Added on May 3, 2009, 12:16 pmif u punye tanks tak biasa tambah garam beter start tambah sikit sikit sampai sukatan tertentu depends u punye water voloum ....kalau sick fish boleh banyak sikit biasanye i tambah 1 tsp garam / 5-6 liter air lo...sick fish boleh double sukatan.garam can act as anti-septic agent dan promote slime coat kat ikan yang stress. and kene guna rock salt bukan cooking salt k

cuba pergi kedai ikan, beli tester all in one, u boleh tahu kalau air u cukup ph, etc etc.
cuba tambah sedikit corals sebab ikan perlukan.
saya telah mencuba selama 1 tahun...sekarang ikan ok...ikan stress sebab itu white spot.
i pun baca melalui internet macam mana nak jaga guppy... kalau u boleh baca english...banyak info macam mana nak jaga guppy di internet.

help me~ as a beginner for guppies.. I've tried to rescue the lousy sick guppies that my mum bought from pudu pasar (1pack rm5 inside have 10 guppies with burnt tail) now.. they only left 3.. and 1 cant really swim now.. the tail has stopped swinging. only both front fins are moving.. almost 90 degree to the water surface (i have quarantined it). Put some salt into it already. I also noticed that on the back fin and tail there is a red dot there. what i should do now besides putting salt?

hi,

1st u should not try on the 1pack RM5 10fish deal cause u should try on healthy fish. sick fish is not easy to look after. at pudu pasar, sometimes u can get some guppy came from taiwan at 2 to 3RM each, u only need 1 male and 2 females to start with.

u need anticlorine, a pinch of salt n one plants. really dont need water pump yet.

HI NICE AND DO TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEM LOOKS LIKE YELLOW /BLONE GUPPY IS IT?

ni nk mnyampuk sket..aku x la buat research psal ikan2 ni...tp dulu aku bela ikan gupy dlm akuarium biasa sj...then aku letak dlm tempayan,ikan gupy ni prefer air yg agak sejuk2 sket..x pyah pkai mesin air tu pun tape,nnt mnyebab kn air tu jd pnas sket..ko tmbh2 la pokok2 mcm rumpai2 yg pnjg n serabut2 (pokok teratai leh gak,akar die pnjang) utk kasi anak2 ikan gupy tu mnyorok...kalo x,nnt ikan gupy lain kdang2 mkn anak2 tu..dlm 2mggu-3mggu je msti dh branak pinak nnt.

*psal pnyakit tu,aku rsa disebab kn ko cmpur2 dgn ikan dr lain2 kdai...pgalaman aku,dulu aku pnah cmpur dgn ikan gupy dr thailand,then trus pnyakit putih tu serang,abeh settle satu akuarium..cara nk slesaikan,ko g kdai ikan,dorg ade jual ubt utk pnyakit keputihan..ubt die mcm titik air(air kaler biru),ble ko titik air tu dlm akuarium ko,akuarium ko tu akn jd biru jgk..jgn panik,tu la ubt dier...ko guna la ubt tu dlm 3mggu atau smpai hilang pnyakit tu...ade sukatan die kalo ko gne...kalo aku,aku kasi lbeh2 tape,utk kselamatan.(tp jgn over sgt).

i was in mcca and went to this aquarium shop at bukit baru, after the traffic light junction.

i asked the lady if they have any food for fry (baby fish) and i was shown this food called 'zooplankton'. she claimed that it is very tiny and fry can eat them without any problem.

2 weeks before that my guppies given birth (more than 5 guppies) and i had more than 100 fry. after given them this 'zooplankton' next day i found some fry dead. i was thinking oh well...maybe they arent strong enough to servive. next day same things happend more dead until about a week....all my fry dead!

so i read the bottle about this food i bought. it wasnt food for the fry but it is food for micro-organism in the water!!!

i just want to share about my bad experience and please dont buy 'zooplankton' for your fry.
