These days, for call rate I don't want to pay more than 10 cents/min so oneXOX is expensive for people who talk a lot. There are many options in the market. Celcom magic also not bad at 12 cents/min but right now the hero is U power at 5 cents per 30 seconds.

As far as I know (as of today), the highest calling rate (of a newly registered prepaid) would be DiGi Smart prepaid at 30sen/min (non-Buddyz). OneXOX MA call rates is the same as #hotlink (24sen/min) while the DA call rates of 18sen/min is the same as Friendi (all are off-net rates). AFAIK, oneXOX users are seldom charged under MA rates.

Yes, U power gives the lowest 5sen/30secs calling rates at the moment but any bottomline depends on an individual's needs/requirements/preferences. Sometimes its the physical/technological limitation(s) that becomes a concern (ex. coverage).

you forgot tune talk - very interesting - 0.16/min but 3rd min onward 0.10/min. if you take the rm50 reload where you get rm70 airtime, you can discount those rates by a further 30% making it as cheap as 0.07/min!

i choose altel for low data usage & minimal call/sms.
reload rm30 ... then subscribe to 1Gb data for 90 days (rm28 only) ... call/sms also valid for 90 days too. Coverage also good.

i give my operator (Friendi) rm10 more which is rm40 a month and in return I get 500mb and unlimited local calls and sms. I think that's a super deal!

And validity is never never a problem. Just make one call or send one sms and you get 60 days more!

smile.gif  I did mentioned Tunetalk in point -3 on choosing what you like above ...

Yes, TuneTalk does have interesting plans. The Data plans are enticing. I calculated the RM2 weekly plan as a very cost effective option for the moderate whatsapp/wechat users (hint: topup of rm50 + rm100 and figure out how it can make your whatsapp comfy for the next 1.5 year). Yet, the bottomline still depends on one's requirement.

You're spot on about TT's rm2/week plan. I am a light data user and before I ported to Friendi, I used TT and the rm2 weekly data plan. Very good value 100mb per week. rarely exceeded it myself.
