I am currently working in Oil & Gas, specific in machine maintenance and service (generator n etc) I also worked in Manufacturing line for almost 1 and half year as tooling engineer.
I've got to choose one from these 4 departments. 1. Manufacturing engineer 2. Service Sales engineer 3. Mechanical Design. 4. Project Engineer
Which dept would u recommend esp in technical skills, training and department growth? (I am mechanical engineer background)
Tq.

QUOTE(wywy2020 @ Oct 21 2013, 12:39 PM) ABB is better than others oil and gas company? Oil & gas is good. Well paid. but need to be closer to my husband n family in Subang. Now i'm in kerteh. No internal transfer option. Currently, I want to apply company that can provide me training to be more technical competent and at the same time closer to my family. Hv background in Mechanical, minor in Turbomachinery; that explains my interest in ABB.

QUOTE(Max_07s @ Oct 21 2013, 01:43 PM) Cameron, aker, technip and Sapura kencana. Thanks. I did apply for other o&g comp. but ABB is one of the comp, i applied but not related to o&g. Actually, I am now working in SapuraKencana. No matter how much i love working in this comp. Like i said before, internal transfer is not an option. Back to the topic, I applied to ABB because of these 4 options i mentioned earlier. These post is for mech eng background. Need advice on the comp culture and work culture.
