Hi, I am looking for a yellow/cream labrador puppy. With or without MKA cert would be fine, as long as a healthy one.

Can PM me the price and possible availability please? Thanks!

Hi Junnie.

I bought a Rottweiler puppy from you back in 29th November 2009. Just to let you know, Abby (the Rotti), has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 lymphoma and is in a bad way.

While cancer happens in all types of dogs and conditions, the Canine Cancer Specialist in UPM has identified that Abby's case is caused by genetic issues. She has warned me to inform you and your potential buyers to NOT get any more puppies from Abby's parents.

The sire is RIA AJKA LUCKY
The dam is ALFINO PENDERAH CANDY

The breeder is from Perak, name Mr. Tai Leong Thiam

PLEASE CEASE GETTING PUPPIES FROM THIS GUY. Whilst I do not blame you for this since you wouldn't have known (I hope), please do your part and spare the other owners from the heartache I am experiencing.

If you have a record of Abby's littermates, please give me their contacts so I can give them a heads up. If their dogs have the cancer, they might not discover it in time.

Hi Chibi_Tenko,

We are saddened to hear of Abby's recent diagnosation. Has she started on her Chemotherapy treatment? How is she coping?

The last time we heard, Mr Tai Leong Thiam has already retired both Abby's parents from his breeding program.

We are surprised that the Canine Cancer Specialist in UPM has states that Abby's case in caused by genetic link as this lymphoma cancer has high chances caused by constant exposure of lawn pesticides or chemical insecticides. If it's convenient, would you please email us a copy of the report from the Specialist from UPM regarding their findings? We would consult Mr Tai on the issue with the report.

We in fact has kept one of the puppy from earlier litter than Abby's litter as our guard dog. He is 5 years old now and still doing great. He does not have any signs of swollen glands or skin issues which are some of the symptoms of Lymphoma cancer.

We would appreciate on getting hold of the report. We shall PM you our email address.

Thanks

Hi Junnie, as mentioned, canine cancer can be caused by a lot of things but the main two factors is genetic and enviromental. The possible causes that you have mentioned - Abby definitely has not been exposed to these.

The reason I'm telling you is to make sure that you do not get anymore puppies from Abby's parents because not only of her inferior genes that increases the chances of her getting the disease, Abby's build is also problematic (if you want, I can take a picture of her hind legs to show you. That is definitely a genetic issue).

I initially wanted to inform you when Abby's legs problem started to show more clearly as she grows older but decided against it because I don't see a point to complain since we have already bonded closely with her and also because there is nothing you can do about it.

She will start her chemotherapy this Monday, and I hope for the best.

Again, I am not here to demonise anyone or disrupt your business but just want to tell you to keep a heads up, especially with the pups from Mr. Tai's side.

Hi Chibi_Tenko,
We have called the owners of Abby's siblings to check on their updates and whether they have the same case as Abby, the owners mentioned that their pet has been doing great.

We truly understand your good intention of informing us on Abby's condition as well as your findings with the Specialist. If the environmental factor is ruled out, then it might genetic correlation factor.

Abby's litter was the last litter from Mr Tai as for now, we have not keep in touch since then. However, I would give him a call to inform him of Abby's condition. It is great if you could email me the report and photos of Abby so that I can show it to him if he asked.

We would hope that Abby would recover from Lymphoma as I researched, some dogs have high percentages on recovering from the disease.

Please keep us posted on Abby's updates.

Hi Junnie,

Shall keep you updated but not at the moment as we are busy with her tight chemo schedule. I'll try to send a picture of her hind legs though.

As for Abby's littermates, please tell the owners to pay close attention to their lymph nodes and go to the vet ASAP if there is anything out of the ordinary.

Thanks for the wishes but dogs never recover from Lymphoma. They go into remission for perhaps a year or two, and begin the cycle again, where the remission will be shorter and shorter.

I hope the other owners will never have to go through what I am currently going through now.
