Same here, got the RM50. I think this is the first time ever I got cash back from Maybank promotion. Unexpected ang pow money

Just wanna share this info. As I am working nearby One Utama, I dine and shop there often during lunch. Whenever they have promotion of purchasing One Utama gift card worth RM50 to get additional RM5, I find that it is worth it to convert Maybank treat points ("tp") to purchase this gift card. This is because you only need 420 tp to purchase RM1 value in One Card, hence to purchase RM50 gift card, you need 21,000 tp (which is equivalent to RM4,200 spending based on 5x tp for Maybank Amex). At the end of the day, you spend RM4,200 and get RM55, which is equivalent to 1.31% cash back. However, if you convert your tp at the usual normal Maybank conversion of 400tp to RM1, the cash back is only 1.25%.

In addition, I asked the cs to convert the gift card value into my One Card so that it follows the expiry of my One Card (which is being renewed for free annually), hence I will never reach the expiry date.

It is convenient for me because I stay nearby One U and I work beside One U. I lunch at One U most of the working days, hence it is really beneficial for people who spend daily at One U like myself.

As I am at One U almost every working day, at times I am lucky enough to spot these kind of promotion which is displayed on the advertisement board at the mall itself. Maybe next time if there is such promo, I will post here. Sometimes cant even find this promo listed on their website and they didnt even send email/sms to inform.

So far the ONLY benefit that I have experience is that the Maybank platinum credit card gives me free parking at the Platinum Parking at One Utama during certain festive season (last year was Christmas, this year was CNY). Hence dont need to look for parking if I am lucky enough to get a parking at that area. I can also spend long time at the mall because the parking is free.
