QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 8 2015, 02:16 PM) You purposely add salt to my wound. I don't have VS la. I just saw the VS card of my HR Manager, she complained the quality of card is bad. To be fair the card quality is really so so. My card number's silver coating already peeled off within 3 months of usage.

Planning to cut my Maybank2C. Guys after cancelling a card, how long do we have to wait before applying again as a new card applicant?

QUOTE(midnight_plue @ Nov 15 2015, 05:33 PM) hello! last month i forgot to pay my statement balance on time >.< due date was on 12 nov, but payment only went through on 13 Nov. i paid my statement balance, so got some outstanding balance (not due yet). So wanna ask if late payment charges and finance charges will incur? Based on T&C it should be, but how does it start calculating? I check my unbilled statement, but so far no sign on these charges yet. And does it affect the 20days interest free period for the next statement cycle? Anyone can explain to me? First time forgot to pay on time >.< have to set reminder earlier d. Sigh. Thanks ya~ I feel you bro. I'm always afraid of late payment which will cause bad credit record and extra financial charge. So I set reminder for each of my credit cards a week before due dates. Call me dumb/paranoid or anything but sometimes I even prepaid all of my credit cards before started spending each month (Statement comes with negative value) hahaha No harm what since I use credit cards for the convenience and cashback, not gonna drag my pay anyway.

QUOTE(kart @ Nov 19 2015, 09:47 PM) I asked some merchants before the reasons why they do not accept American Express credit cards. They said that the acquirer bank imposes a minimum total transaction amount that must be achieved in a month. If the amount paid by all customers using American Express credit cards in a month is less than the so-called minimum amount, the acquirer bank will impose a hefty fee on the merchants. I am unsure how true their claim is. To be exact, who exactly imposes minimum total transaction amount in a month? Is it acquirer bank, Maybank (acting as exclusive acquirer of American Express in Malaysia), or American Express Company (in US)? Who is telling the truth, and who is telling the lies? If Visa and MasterCard do not impose any restrictive rules (imposing surchange) in the credit card terminal, then perhaps American Express do not impose such restrictive rules as well. Interesting. I thought that it was because Amex is charging higher transaction fee to merchant than visa/master.

QUOTE(kerollowyat @ Mar 10 2016, 12:41 PM) I was informed by Maybank staff that the 5xTP will no longer available. All cards will get 1xTP only. Starting 15th April 2016. Hahaha they're trying real hard to kill the maybank2card.
