I will like to apply for MBB 2 gold card to replace the HSBC card.

FYI, this is my first time terminating a card, I think I can just call the HSBC CS centre and tell them about this.

I owe them a few hundred ringgits and I gona settle that next month as my card expires in Dec.

What else I need to know and do apart from the above two steps?
eg. Get an official email from HSBC regarding the termination?

My friend applied for for MB 2 gold last week sunday at klcc branch but they havent reply him until today.
He adds the guy said will contact him within 5 working days.
Do he need to wait that long?
