I own MBB2Cards and my credit limit is RM15,000 (recently increased like 5 months ago).

I noticed that I've overspend lately as I noticed my cards having the following outstanding amount:

1) MBB Visa - Outstanding RM10500+
2) MBB Amex - Outstanding RM6000+

So, what this means? The 15k limit is PER CARD or for both? Is there any extra buffer limit that I am not aware of?

Thanks.

For both cards. Usually they will allow slight buffers. I'm quite sure if you swipe any of your cards now, it may not be able to go through. smile.gif

and do check on your overdraft agreement. they may charge you interest for your overdraft.

Buffer limit is 10% of CL

Thank you all.

I will check the agreement thoroughly just in case and it might be the extra 10% buffer limit after all. smile.gif

How often could I request for credit limit increase? Say If I requested an increase like 5 months ago (and it was approved), can I request to increase again (since I got my new salary increment)?

Thanks.

there's a 6 months cool down period for credit review, so next mth should be fine smile.gif

You can always ask for a temporary increase without any documents.
As for permanent increase, just salary slip may not enough, EA is the best support usually.
There's another way but I guess does not really happening now which is you keep on spend close to 90% of CL and always pay on time, the bank may increase automatically for you. Maybank was 1 of such bank. I got increase from rm3000 to rm6000 last time(close to 12 years already).

Thanks guys! Will write in to them and see how it goes.
