can you just say dont want replacement unless its free. may just cancel or temporary cancel the card till it be found.

many would cancel it anyway.
*
I didn't know about the replacement fees until I saw on the cards transaction, the CS never informed me about it when I asked for replacement. sad.gif

CIMB only charge RM10 and can be waive too

nevertheless, try to get police report to waive the RM100 charge. just need to spend a little time n effort to file the report. good luck!

you are lucky because no one found your lost card and swiped it at petrol stations. by the way, how fast do you noticed that you lost your card?
*
I think within 2-3 hours, yeah lucky because if not I have to bare all the cost. sad.gif

I never expect the currency exchange rate to be so high using Maybank VISA. I saw that VISA was having a promotion in Japan and giving 6% discount, so I chose to use VISA instead of cash. It turned out their currency rate is nearly 30% higher than normal money changer rate.

Oh gosh, I lost about rm1k for this mistake. I checked VISA website and their rate was normal too, ie similar to nornal money changer. So my guest is, maybank charged additional % into it while converting the currency.

This is too much, I was expecting 10% difference at most. Sigh.

Have you check with Maybank CS?

I noticed that in my card statement under Treatpoints section, it is written "MAYBANKARD 2 AMEX 4X"....how come I am getting 4x points instead of 5x? Or is this 4x referring to something else??

1. Combine TreatPoints x1 for your MasterCard/Visa card and AMEX card

2. TreatPoints x4 for your AMEX card
