Can, overpay using CDM. smile.gif

Well, this is why I asked for temporary increase instead of pay more. Can use M2U to overpay also, but they say cannot, I don't want to risk my self on getting penalty.

M2U cannot overpay. smile.gif The system will not accept if the payment is greater than outstanding amount.
Only CDM works.
*
Never try, better give them a call to avoid any problem tongue.gif

dun think there's penalty for overpaying the bank. lol

Not overpay, but over swipe.

It will not work, the system will not allow. I used to pay statement balance (before cash rebate) and it will not allow if my outstanding amount (after cash rebate) is lesser than statement balance. smile.gif Call also no use. smile.gif

Over swipe, if it goes through then go through, if not just cannot swipe.
*
I mean call for temporary increase CL.

Just to enlighten u guys & girls with the temporary CL increment, overpay, overswipe issue..

Temporary increase of CL is given when you stated a strong reason, easiest to use would be "I'm at oversea!".

Overpay is not an issue, u can't do it via M2U, but u can do it via cheque, CDM, or IBG from other banks

Overspent is not an issue too, my CL is 30k, i can spend up to 32k with no penalty

Regarding the permanent CL increment, 6 months cold down period as mentioned by lamode.

and ...
This does not work anymore as BNM ruled out banks not allowed to automatically increase the CL, I spent way a lot more than my CL every month and a good paymaster, they don't bother pun
*
Well, that's why I said it may not work anymore. Nowadays my cards are giving way higher than my typical spending, I even have to call and reduce it sweat.gif
As for overspent, I guess it is above certain % then only they will charge, but again the T&C only state "overspend" but never specify clearly on this, assume this is on case to case basis?

Just simple as that.

I heard Citibank had overspent penalty, but definitely not Maybank.
*
Like that better take it has penalty to prevent overspend icon_rolleyes.gif

thanks for the explanation, guess i will try to apply online for the M2 Cards. smile.gif

Advantage on both of these cards are they don't have AF.
But AMEX are not widely accepted, this is the main setback on getting max out of your typical spending.

If possible, try to apply for both types since they make up a good combo. biggrin.gif
*
The "best" combo is MBB's VS, but you need to spend rm4200 every month where rm1760 on petrol and groceries, balance is other spending to get rm88 of cash back and after 2 years get another rm100 cash back from the TPs cool.gif

Well, best in the sense that you don't need to pay for AF and no so-called minimum spending to waive the AF.
*
Nah, we won't have "best" card in the market, only can look for ways to make it the "best" for our spending.

Yeah, agreed. Take the correct CB card to max out the benefit smile.gif

Considering the trend now, looks like those high income requirement cards will have longer benefits.
Other easier to get cards will have faster benefit revision sweat.gif

I've searched this thread and the previous one, couldn't find the answer so I'm gonna ask this:

Does this credit card have any limitations on what sites you can spend it on? (e.g. Steam, Paypal, etc). I'm looking for something better than my current Maybank debit card.
*
All my Maybnak cards can't be used on 3rd party online transactions as it is default setting for my spending. You can give them a call to "release" your card for this be it temporary or long term.

How about Steam? As you described, or got the standard 'we don't do gaming site' response?
*
I make it very simple, using online portal to do transaction do have some risk, so if you are just an once a blue moon buyer, is better you disable it to prevent any potential fraud case.

I took a car loan from MBB and when i added it as my favorite payee to pay my monthly installment, I can see that I can actually pay with my cc.

is it possible?
*
Cannot verify on this since my H&P loan already missing since last year tongue.gif
But before it was missing, once i select any card as payee, the H&P account will be "missing" unless I pay using my savings account.

Since when paying in full will have interest? shocking.gif
*
A person needs to pay 18% when they can't settle in full for the first time.
That's why don't bother on the low interest rate as that's a trap for you to simply swipe.
Like CIMB also offering 10% cash back when you are paying minimum only each month.
Always read the small small fonts for this hmm.gif

Pay full sure no need to pay interest, but in the statement will state I in which tier.

Banks now are short of money, they don't revise the cash backs considered very good already.

Hi guys, I just received the Maybank 2 cards Visa Platinum, is this cards the same as Maybank 2 card MasterCard.
I try to find this card brochure in maybank2U but only have the MasterCard version.
I apply at booth but during apply it show MasterCard.
*
Just apply for the Ikhwan card, since using the Visa on dual cards are pretty useless except for the 1X TP.

What's the maximum temporary credit limit increase?

If I need to pay fees in other currency, (fees come up to about rm60k after conversion), will maybank allow a temporary increase? Or can I transfer rm60k in then just swipe?
*
Just tell them you need to increase to this amount + 10%(for your normal spending) with your reasons.
But frankly, that time when I asked for temporary increase is from rm10000 to rm27000 and I'm an Aspire member, so it can be done as for them, even I default the payment, the savings can be used to pay it.

why maybank CS always busy and ask to call back later? doh.gif
*
My experience with Maybank's CS never been a problem, from the time I call till put the phone down, maximum time never go beyond 5 minutes.
But Public bank minimum time is 10 minutes of waiting to get a problem solved while HLB are among the best, 20 minutes to round the garden.
