I never expect the currency exchange rate to be so high using Maybank VISA. I saw that VISA was having a promotion in Japan and giving 6% discount, so I chose to use VISA instead of cash. It turned out their currency rate is nearly 30% higher than normal money changer rate.

Oh gosh, I lost about rm1k for this mistake. I checked VISA website and their rate was normal too, ie similar to nornal money changer. So my guest is, maybank charged additional % into it while converting the currency.

This is too much, I was expecting 10% difference at most. Sigh.

Is it possible to transfer TP to other maybank card? For example transfer TP from maybank2 cards to maybank visa signature?

They are agents from another company which collects and send all credit card applications to Maybank to obtain commission, right?

In my opinion, the true Maybank employees who assists customers in applying for credit cards, would not offer such Transformer figurine as a free gift.

Those are Knock-off editions from China which cost less than RM20.

I booked a hotel this morning, and no additional discount also. On the visawedmy page, if you click on see details, you will see the following 3 steps:
1) Search based on date and destination.
2) Select a “Promotion Eligible” Hotel.
3) Key in the correct bank card number

Hotel I booked wasn't marked as promotion eligible, thus no additional discount I think.

So I believe, it's a matter of policy.

Those silly rules are implemented by merchant themselves to protect themselves from having to pay for the fees for CC usage.

Visa / Master's pretty transparent. You can email them and they'll reply you almost immediately with an in depth reply. Same can't be said about our local banks however..

I have reported the fraud case to CS on Friday Evening. He only advised me to file a dispute by filling up a Dispute Form that time.

Saturday morning, I got the Dispute Form, filled up and signed. I scanned the form and email them on that same day.

Today, Monday I got the email reply from Maybank Dispute Dept. That they are doing their investigation job.

No advise to terminate, replace the card in all these process.

Guess I need to call them back tomorrow during office hour then.
