After using Firefox for a long time, I've decided to give Google Chrome a try. So far I've liked it. But there are a few things I would like to inquire.

Q1:
How do I open a Jpeg picture file?
In Firefox, I just have to go to File > Open File, then I just select the file.
But I can't seem to find the "Open" button in Chrome?

Q2:
I had multiple tabs open while browsing. Then I accidently click the "X" button at the top right corner and BOOM I lost all my tabs just like that.
In Firefox, when you accidently click the "X" button, a warning dialog box appears telling you that you are about to close multiple tabs.
Is there any way to make Chrome do the same thing?

Q3:
In Firefox, there's this add-on called "Video Downloadhelper". It's a very handy tool when it comes to downloading videos/mp3 from various sites.
Does Chrome have something similar like this?

Q1 : If I remembered correctly you can just open a new tab and then drag and drop the picture into the new tab page.

Q2 : Pretty sure you can find this option in the browser's settings.

Q3 : Try this extension called "Grab Any Media". https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/a...gkgfapdog?hl=en

There are tutorials so you can learn how to use it.

But seriously though, you can find all these with a simple Google search.

Q1:
Yeah it works. Thanks. thumbup.gif

Q2:
You sure? I've checked multiple times, can't find anything under settings. That's why I'm asking here. No harm creating this thread, right? smile.gif

Q3:
I'll install that later.

Q2: There is an option where you can choose "continue where you left off". It doesnt give you warning but when you reopen chrome, all your tabs would be back.

Sucks lah like that. They can make it less hassle by preventing the browser from closing in the first place. -1 for Chrome.

Same thing goes for opening an image. Very troublesome to drag & drop the file. Could have easily included an open button. -1 for Chrome again.

Firefox seem to have an upper hand here. Looks like I'll continue sticking with Firefox. I'll make Chrome my secondary browser.

Anyway thanks for your help.

low7 the shortcut to recover closed tabs in Chrome is
Ctrl + Shift + T
However, this does not work in incognito mode.
