QUOTE(jess7 @ Nov 5 2015, 09:08 AM) bro, they can be trusted as they are the official distributor of Dymatize in Malaysia. How much you got it for MuscleTech Iso Zero? Does it contain alot of fillers?i've bought 2 tubs Dymatize ISO-100 from them, no problem. Recently, due to salmonella found in Dymatize products in US, MMC stop bringing them in awhile until Dymatize USA resolve this problem. So i bought MuscleTech Iso Zero from MMC, tastes SUPERB! Not to say NO to GNC but their prices are hiked up 50%! |

QUOTE(jess7 @ Nov 5 2015, 09:41 AM) fillers for me is no no! I just did a quick search on Muscle Tech Iso Zero. Seems to not have much fillers. Not that I could identify at least.iso zero comes in unflavoured and vanilla. the vanilla ingredients: 97% pure whey protein isolate, natural flavour, soy lechitin and stevia extract. i am abit bumped with the soy lechitin tho. 25g protein per serving of 28g, i think this is one of the best out there! 0 calories from fat, 0g total fat, 0g sugars bot it at rm215 (3lbs) from MMC not including shipping... which reminds me i need restock... what others would you recommend? cos now dymatize iso 100 no stock, i just iso zero first. Kinda pricey eh MYR215 for 3lbs. I am currently taking ON Whey Protein. Isolates are kinda expensive for me. Maybe you should try ON Whey Isolates? Btw, is there a substantial difference in results compared to taking normal whey protein? |

QUOTE(jess7 @ Nov 5 2015, 10:18 AM) YES it is pricey for a medium sized tub, LAGI MAHAL IF HOUSEHOLD, 3 PERSON DRINKING! LOL...I been using ON Gold Standard Whey Protein... Its pricey for me as well since I take 2 scoops a day... Can finish 5lbs tub in 1 month and 1 week? cost about MYR210.To me, since it is something that is going into my system, if i can afford, i will give it my best. For starters, avoid unnecessary crap like Acesulfame Potassium. Then if possible, buy isolates as it is a more pure form of protein. If got extra moolah to throw in, get hydrolysate for faster absorption but this i not so bother hahaha. Then look at nutrition wise, got fat? no no but then no fat expensive so maximum fat i allow is 1g. Can't really say if there is substantial difference because so far only tried 2 brands of similiar ingredients.... Currently, i am on low to no fat (unhealthy ones, mind you) makan diet so this protein does not disturb. But one thing is for such, double rich chocolate flavor from ON is top notch. Taste even better than some chocolate milk and even MILO haha Have you tried Myofusion? |

QUOTE(jess7 @ Nov 5 2015, 12:48 PM) i mixed my protein with skim milk instead of water, TASTES SO FREAKING GOOD! so myofusion got banyak fillers ke?Myofusion BIG NO NO for me. TOTAL FAT 2.5g sugars 2g but then it says no added sugar? ingredients red alert! maltodextrin as second most and again in third ingredient, like maltodextrin isn't enough, they add in sucralose again! i'm gonna go easy on BCAA till i can get my hands on raw bcaa but Myofusion really NO NO. haha no sugar added by 2g of sugar... LOL |

QUOTE(jess7 @ Nov 5 2015, 01:18 PM) For me, if you are buying whey protein, anything listed in the ingredients other than whey protein will be considered fillers. Oh. nice analysis. Maybe I should consider taking Dymatize Iso. MMC always out of stock yeah? But, of course, we are humans with tastebuds so usually, i will make special allowance for natural stuff like stevia. Always go for quality, not quantity as you are paying hard earned money and the stuff is actually going into your body system. Short term wise, maybe there will be no side effect, it is in the long term. Also see the protein percentage per serving. let's see.... (if vanilla) MT's iso zero: 25g/28g: 89.2% Dymatize ISO 100: 25g/29.2g: 85.6% ON Gold Standard: 24g/31g: 77.4% GN Myofusion: 25g/38g: 65.8% Breaking them down like this, you can see what you really drinking. Myofusion: 65.8% protein, 34.2% crap. Btw, MuscleTech was doing some Amino Acid spiking as well right? Is it safe to trust the company? QUOTE(jess7 @ Nov 7 2015, 02:56 PM) my dua kupang, cheaper does not necessary mean gooding. The content of the protein and servings varies from flavors to flavors it seems. My double chocolate ON is about 30.4g per serving. SHOWDOWN! Dymatize Elite (DE) vs ON Gold Standard (vanilla flavour): Ingredients: DE: Whey Protein Blend (Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate, Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Concentrate), Natural & Artificial Flavors, Soy Lecithin, Gum Blend (Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Carrageenan), Enzyme Blend (Protease, Lactase, Lipase), Acesulfame Potassium, Sucralose, Stevia Leaf Extract. ON: Protein Blend (Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Peptides), Natural And Artificial Flavors, Lecithin, Acesulfame Potassium, Aminogen®, Lactase. Protein per serving DE: 25g/34g: 73.5% ON: 24g/29.4g: 81.6% Total fat DE: 1.5g ON: 1g Sugar DE: 1g ON: 1g This is usually what I look at before buying whey protein, so.... If i were you, i would stick to ON Gold Standard despite the price difference Latest news i heard from supplier, Dymatize manufacturing plant closed and now they are outsourcing to another third party blender. http://www.postholdings.com/newsroom/post-...sfer-production How does vanilla from ON taste like? |

Hmm. R1 seems to be good looking at the ingredients. But I don't fancy those zero sugar products as it contains a lot of aspartame. The sugar free thingy. Not good for health at all. Go for low sugar content is better I think.
I see R1 is more expensive but lesser fillers and calories and zero fat. But I never heard of this brand widely used before. Trustable? |

Go for low sugar content is better I think. iirc dymatize also got creatine added, or maybe not. forgot what i took already, but one of it had...and didn't feel any difference... so back to ON. i always wanted to try rule 1 / r1 which apparently from same makers as ON...just places close to me don't stock and i lazy travel to subang which is the closest i know that has. I see R1 is more expensive but lesser fillers and calories and zero fat. But I never heard of this brand widely used before. Trustable? |

QUOTE(jess7 @ Nov 9 2015, 12:02 PM) R1 looks good but breaking it down... I think BCAA helps protein synthesis in some ways... But i read the sticky in this forum it was said that glutamine, taurine & leucine are not good? For the Ultra Pure Whey Isolate/Hydrolysate Formula, VANILLA FLAVOUR 0g fat 0g sugar protein per serving: 25g/28.9g: 86.5% ingredients: protein blend (whey protein isolate, whey protein hydrolysate), micronized amino acid blend (l-leucine, l-isoleucine, l-glutamine), natural and artificial flavour, lechitin, sucralose, acesulfame potassium. (not sure if can be found in Malaysia): $99.99 for 5LBS Conclusion: Looking at the above breakdown, i think you can just stick to ON at a cheaper price (by half, maybe), delivering almost the same amount of protein per serving at 81.6% (ON). Why would they need to add in BCAA? |

QUOTE(jess7 @ Nov 9 2015, 04:16 PM) IMHO, whey protein should just contain whey protein. Yeah I agree. I think ON doesnt have much fillers or so to speak in them. Not to say that they are not good. By adding in BCAA, that is just plain amino spiking. If customers want glutamine, taurine & leucine, we would buy BCAA. Want to go for isolates....they seem to contain less bullshit but I dont think I can sustain continuously. |
