comparatively, japanese food is better but i think the trick is you have to eat the korean food with soju (their potato spirit). i was having korean food for 6 days and you will be surprised that different place/restaurant provides different types of kimchi offering.

well, it is a matter of taste and preferences.

Added on January 28, 2009, 9:33 amsuggestion place to visit if you are not taking tour packages :-

LOTTE WORLD!!!!!

btw stryfox, how did you get to the skating rink? do we need to buy another pass for that?
*
yes Lotte World...i would prefer the outside theme park better because it was colder that time smile.gif and tried a few rides (later I will scan Lotte World map)...can see Seoul at night...so beautiful...but scary feeling when taking ride

to go to the skating ring, you have to go down another floor (you can see it before entrance to Lotte World)

You can see the skating ring from the side but to enter/play skate, you have to pay entrance and rent the skate shoe. I think around 15,000 won. The same floor also have bowling alley and shooting range (using airgun)

Actually when you look at the skating rink, it is similar like Sunway except Sunway upper floor above skating ring you have shops where in seoul you have Lotte World lor.

Basement - Skating Rink, Bowling Alley & Shooting Range
GF - Shopping Complex, Hotel & Entrance to Lotte World
FF - Lotte World (indoor) & (outdoor)

To go to Lotte World, exit Jamsil Subway (using Line 2, Green Colour) and walk using underground shopping complex to Lotte World.

Some pictures at:-

(i) Lotte World Ticket Counter (after 5pm and 7pm is more cheaper)

(ii) view from side of skating ring

(iii) outside Shopping Complex

(iv) entrance to outdoor Lotte World

(v) view using Baloon Ride [can see top view of Lotte World (indoor)]
