aha.. i noticed the influence of 1N2D there
the fan mussels looks very delicious there.. now i'm drooling..
Damyang is previously featured in the earlier episodes of 1N2D (Ep 91-92). It's a very nice place with bamboo forest and metasequoia trees. The road with metasequoia trees there is chosen as one of the most beautiful road in Korea. They also have Bamboo Festivals during spring. In addition, I want to see the pond that Seunggi falls in.. hehehe (Seunggi's pond)..
Goseong is a less travelled place for tourists - but it is a very nice place to go, and very beautiful too.. If you are into dinosaurs, i would recommend you to come here. It is one of the world's three top sites for dinosaur footprints after colorado n argentina. (i don't think i can go to US or agentina for this, and as i really wanna see dinosaurs even though it's footprints, fossils, or bones, might as well just see it here). I have surf around the net and found some pics from other travellers, and i'm impressed with the view.
yes, suncheon is very nice too, but i think i may pass on that one since i'm going to jeju.. andong too..
i think if i want to visit all the places that i want to go, i need to spend 3 months there.. hahaha.. which is impossible ($$ and leave constraint ma).

Oh for alt 1, yes, I will go to Jeju by flight from Gwangju. But most likely I will go to Jeju from Jangheung for budget reasons. Would love to try the clam bibimbap and fan mussels in Jangheung!

What are the nice places to visit in Goseong and Damyang? Worth visiting?
I also have 10 days to travel in South Korea, by looking at my itinerary it's quite tight. May not even have time for Andong so I'm saving Gyeongi and Gangwon for next trip. My plan is to "conquer" major areas in southern parts and go for northern parts next time

Since you're travelling in mid-April, I suggest spending 2 nights each in Jeju and Gyeonju. I had been there before, though during winter but I can imagine the sceneries will be beautiful there in Spring! Especially in Jeju, do visit Mt Halla and try the Olle Pass! Gyeonju has a lot a lot of UNESCO sites, if you're interested then better stay 2 days there.
Suncheon has nice sceneries too, traditional folk village and beautiful temples. I'm envious of you able to visit them during Spring!
I'm worried about the weather in late Feb to early March.. since it's miserably cold now, I can't imagine how to survive during that period.. with all the walking, travelling from one place to another and aiming to pack light.. aiks
