shopping in Korea is not cheap.
went to dangdaemun, clothings are expensive.
not worth if you don't use it often.

for me, china is cheaper and lotsa design.
quality wise still acceptable.
*
shopping in korea is cheap but only if you know wjere to shop. if you're shopping in dongdaemun, it will be damn expensive compared to namdaemun and myeondong.. and you should try the underground shops like gangnam underground shopping ctr or around Hongik and Ewha Women Univ, lots of fashionable items at a very cheap price.

going there again in sept for the 6th time.. will cover incheon and Jeju Island.. The next 2012 would be Busan and somewhere else.. icon_rolleyes.gif

*
Starbucks in korea, smells and taste better than in KL... heheh.. why arr?? hmm.gif is it because of the weather?

I went once in early March, I thought it was already spring but it damn it snowed on the day we arrived.. If it is snowing, it won't be that cold, but it's before and after it snows + wind, it will be hell..

I was not prepared for the weather and ended up buying a winter jacket! lari my budget. I only wore sneakers and my feet was cold almost got cramped.

it was so damn cold when we got out from the 63 building that we were practically jumping while waiting for the cab and after alternating 1 person waiting for a cab for 2 minutes while the other 2 wait inside the building.. but the best part was when we got inside the train... aahhh.. syiokkk.. bontot panas.. got heater on the seats.. smile.gif

I would suggest you guys to buy those long woolen sweaters.. Mine is up to mid thigh and I feel warmer compared to other who wears the normal sweater which covers only their bum. I bought mine @ FOS. cheap only.

Would it help if I wear underwear tights + wool socks + sneakers + leg warmers instead? hmm.gif
I wear the sweater on top of those things lah... biggrin.gif but now no more sneakers while traveling in winter.. leather boots is better..

Reporting from yongpyong ski resort, its snowing here.man I tell u skiing is not easy. Its so tiring and when u ski downwards its very hard to stop and u tend to bang into those ppl not moving. I feel that skiing its not that fun cos u just have to pay to rent the eqs and u don have to pay to enter the skiing place. Just walk in feel the ice then can walk out,no problem. Total I spend about 75000 won to rent the eqs. I think its not worth it. But still depends on the individual.
*
hehehe.. it reminds me the first time i tried skiing.. hurt my butt.. but my friend, she tried the snowboarding and she said it's harder than normal skiing.. biggrin.gif..

Oh thanks for the advice..we are not sure where is Vivaldi park too..
Btw,where we can wear the hanbok to take photos?is it at the palace?
Btw,is my itinerary in the previous page sounds workable?
*
If I'm not mistaken, yes, you can rent it out at the palace.
But my friend suggest that I go to this place called Party Princess.

Party Princess
Five minutes from Exit #7, Euljiro 1-ga Station, Seoul Subway Line 2, and down the alleyway between Kookmin Bank and Hana Bank. Café + pictures wearing Korean traditional dress (Hanbook).

for those who wanted to go to Korea after March.. go and check out the KTO booth during Matta Fair, there are lots of booklet given for free.. I collected the Seoul Best 100, Top 10 places for the a few provinces.. etc.. but sadly none are in my hands right now.. sad.gif.. or you guys can just download the E-Book from the official KTO website. If I'm not mistaken you can request for the book and they will post it to you..

Eh.. use 1 pair of long john for 4 days.. ermm.. no armpit smell (even though no sweat)??
So for the remaining 2 days, you didn't wear any? Not cold?

Yesterday I saw the money changer @ Pavilion, exchange rate is 3.0 leh..
*
hahaha.. the best thing travelling during cold time is that you can recycle your clothes.. don't worry.. no smell one lah unless you don't bath straight for 3-4 days and drink a lot.. smile.gif . I usually bring 2 long johns if it is more than 5 days trip.. i wear one then I hang it and wear the other one.. or you can alway buy @ Namdaemun. It's quite cheap but can't remember the price..

I just cleared all my winter clothing.. did a bit like garage sale.. my next trip will be in September , so, I'll be bringing only a light jacket. has anybody went to korea in Spetember? Wondering about the weather..

Anyway, how do you guys stored your winter clothing? especially the bulky jackets.. It took quite a space if you just hang it.. I lipat2 and put it in the Aussino plastic bag.

don't forget Laneige.. damn cheap compared here.. @ Myeondong they will give you lots and lots of freebies and of course @ duty free shop Incheon Int Apt, the price is cheaper than @ Myeondong but no freebies though.. How cheap is cheap?? I used the renew cream in KL close to RM200, Myeondong would be close to KRW50k but Duty Free around USD33..

LOL.. I plan to have 2 pairs for my 9D stay in South Korea. Planning to buy the 2nd pair from SPAO in Seoul. Now I'm thinking where to get the bottom here, is it that Winter Time and other shops sell in pairs (top+bottom)? I only have a top from HeatTech Uniqlo now..
*
Not sure about the market but what i know is that @ Namdaemun, the shops inside the buildings opened/closed like office hrs.. saturdays would be 1/2 day and closed on sundays.

wow.. got so much money meh.. buying thermal @ Spao..? hehehe biggrin.gif.. Spao was not opened yet when I went to Korea which was in Feb and April 2009. Winter time etc, they do have just not so sure you can buy the bottom only or not.. but @ Namdaemun you can buy separately..

BTW My fren said, not all items sold @ Spao website is available @ the physical store.

Super Junior and SNSD maaa... but actually, it's not that expensive if you're being paid in KRW and the korean made stuff is affordable to their people.. compared here in Malaysia.. Made in Malaysia is as expensive as imported goods.. and the gov said Malaysian did not support our goods.. of course la might as well as buy the importe one.. stupid or what.. opsss emo a bit..

anyway, did you guys notice the Dunkin Donuts in Korea..? it's all over the place and of course Lee Min Ho (from Boys Over Flower) is the ambassador.. Darn Handsome guy.. drool.gif
