QUOTE(Carmein @ Sep 8 2010, 01:11 PM) My main concentration will be on Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Gangwon-do and Busan! Suggest you do round trip so can saving travel time.I saw this 3-Day Backpack Tour of Busan-Gyeongju for Women. Haha. Suggest route: Day 2 - Free Shuttle to Gyeongju 1 nite > going to Busan 1 or 2 nites > Gangwon-do's Pyong Yong ski resort 1 nite > Sokcho 1 nite > Back to seoul for the rest, suggest u take USO DMZ tour for day trip in seoul. |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Oct 15 2010, 01:38 AM) Thanks for taking time to write this. I think u should try DMZ Panmunjom day trip. The world only DMZ zone left.I actually following tour there. First day, will be Saturday and its City tour. Second day is Sunday which is nothing to do. I just grab a free shuttle to Gyeongju. I'm not sure its the right thing to do. 4 hours bus ride.omg third day also free to do anything. This is last day. Can I ask, what is the best thing to do for such a short trip? Sunday should I go Gyeongju? If not, u say I should go Nami Island. But my gf said she never watch Winter Sonata. Should we still go? Haha She prefer go Dae Jang Geum park because she watched Dae Jang Geum before. Haha How about Seoul? What should we do there? Got the Nanta show. Did u go? Or u prefer other show? Back from Korea, share 2 cents experience:
1. Language not a problem of communication there, as long you doing enough home work, eg: The place name you want to visit in Korean word. 2. Subway is cheapest way to travel around, 2 hours subway not more than W2000. 3. Bus and train have 100% time accuracy, and very frequent schedule as well, so need not worry about transportation. 4. Driving in Jeju island is best way to visit around the island, all the rental car have Korean GPS, but don't worry, you just need to enter phone number u want to go then will redirecting you. Type korean wording is easy for people who know to write mandarin, worst case, ask korean people type for you. 5. Korean food portion very big, if restaurant allow, you just need to order 1 person food, although is weird in korean, but just ignore them. 6. I most like the town name Sokcho, a town near mt. sorak, cycling there is most fun. any other thing need to know, can ask. |
