After upgrading Window 10 from 8.1, My WD MyBook Essential USB3.0 2TB seems to constantly connect and disconnect when it is in use, sometime it will even freeze with light on and no longer recognized. I try to update bios and turn off all sort of power saving (USB Power Saving, HDD power saving) but nothing helps, anyone facing similar problems? Google it and realise WD and Seagate both have similar problem with Window 10 and many solution does not solve the issue entirely.

Did you install the SES Driver?

Yes, already install ses driver but doesnt help

If it was working perfectly before you upgrade to W10 then it must be W10's causing the issue.
Try update USB 3.0 drivers?

I only found chipset for the USB driver, and latest Bios for motherboard, did those but doesnt help, did I missed something else that need to be updated?

Yet to test the external hdd on other pc with win 7 and 8,maybe I should in case its hardware issue.

However I do read abt usb3.0 issue in win10 and even win8.1
mine working fin in window 8.1 though.

Now trying to clean install window 10 and wipe off the previous apps and drivers and see if that help, might be bugs from the upgrades.
