Hi guys, I'm intending to get Dell 7447 but I need international warranty because I'll be in the UK most of the time. I learnt that I can't get warranty in the UK for this model because it is not sold in the UK? Also, 3 years ProSupport needed instead of the standard 2 years offered by Dell is needed for international support?
Anyone got an idea? Just for clarification because I seem to be at lost of what other laptops to buy other than this.

If you gonna be in UK most of the time, I'll suggest you to get the models that are available for sale in local UK or EU market, or just order from Dell UK website and have it deliver to your local UK address. There are reasons why they can't offer you the warranty, most probably being they might not get the spare parts for your particular laptop, if needed. So there is no point for them to take the money from you for the warranty and yet they can't offer you the service.
Speaking from my experience. Good luck!

I just received a call from Dell this morning following my further inquiry. For those interested, she said major problems such as motherboard failure etc. may take longer for repair in the UK as they may need to get parts from other countries. As for smaller issues eg. hard drive, will not have a problem.
