Race Selection: Random not allowed. To be done only once each match starts.
Rules: Annihilate
Maps: Outer Reaches (yes, only one map)

Closing Date: 30th January 2007 (Tuesday)
Prizes: 1st RM 1000
2nd RM 600
3rd RM 300
4th to 8th RM 100 each
Trophies for 1st - 3rd

Me too hope I can make it.

actually the date of tourney is too early. like 1 month for new comer to train. Some may late to know the tourney too. just my 2 cents.

This shouldnt be called as mini tournament. Come on, look at the number of participants allowed, 64 and I see it as a huge number. I doubt WCG will allow more participants than this, if WCG Malaysia ever take DOW as one of the game.

Walao eh... 1 map only ?? Some races really have certain advantage in some maps. Need to play on that map only could give comment. And regarding on the rules, not the standard ladder rules (including Annihilate, Control Area and Take & Hold)?? Oh, I just hope that Relic released a patch that nerf the Necron and Tau

Reason ?? If you want each game to be ended fast, I think activate other condition victory would greatly shorten the game time. Just imagine, one side camp and turtle will just delay the game greatly. More than one victory condition will just make the game more fun and exciting as it made the players not to turtle but be aggressive throughout the game.

There is no chance for u to turtle as it has only 1 SP inside ur base.

Kong, just like to clarify one thing. Winner will be decided via best of 3 games , from 1st round all the way to final ??

How many people have registered? just want to know, because i still need to consider (the day after the tourney is my exam)

take and hold and control area should be on. just to avoid some ppl abusing the exploit and bug of this game

did u know the Tau's Crisis suit is seriously broken???? 3 of them with flamer upgrade can take down entire base within 1 mins. because they are bugged . the flamer is zero reload time, which means it shoot as fast as the engine allowed. Ie. 1000 shoots per seconds. You dont want to see ppl complaining "OMG my 7000HP HQ blown away by crisis suit in 10secs" right?

This game has alot of things which are broken. In order to reduce this thing happen. Take and Hold and control area rules has to be 'ON'.

Johhny and Waba have given me their comments on certain bugs (Tau and Ork), however, the seem to be exploited at T2 or T3, i.e. late game. therefore, i choose to stick with annihilate for now.

I understand there are many imbalances in the current Dark Crusade and because this is also the first tourney since the last Official National Tournament and after 2 expansions, it will be a learning curve for all of us.

i hope that everyone can be patient enough as we work our way to fix things to make it more fun for everyone.

Can move the start time to afternoon or somewhere near there? Cos if follow the new picture where it says 10am, i don't know if i can reach there in time or not. Scare jam, especially in the morning and now is holiday...

also, it may start a little later or earlier depending on the results... not that there's just 10, it's also too early to tell.

10am however, is the best and safest estimate for now.

Sure or not? My place bukit jalil, even on sundays it will jam like shit. Duno where the cars come from >.> Sumore this time is holiday.. But i will try my best to reach there asap if the time cant be move.

Dear Dark Crusaders,



The time for ultimate battle for the universe is coming this Saturday!



Firstly, thank you for taking time to participate in our Dark Crusade Mini Tournament. Your participation excites the game further and we hope to have another Mini Tournament in future. Participation is still open but we have limited spaces left.



The tournament will be held on the 1st Floor of FTZ Asia Café. There's a stair on the right side.



My name is Jun King (aka king_kong) and I'm the Head Marshall for this tournament. My mobile is 012-2806750.



The tournament is a solo competition with the rule: Annihilate. Destroy everything you see!



Now, to make things easier for all us, here are some rules and guidelines to follow:



Before the tournament starts:

All players will be pre-arranged with their opponents. The decision for this is final and will be revealed on Saturday.
All players must be there at 10 am for a briefing. Tournament will then start at 11 am sharp with a 10 minute grace period for those fashionably late before a walkover is given. We're on a tight schedule so please be punctual.
Those under 18, please fill up the Parental Consent Form attached and get your mommy/daddy/guardians to sign them and submit to me on Saturday.


When its time to kill:

When selecting your race, we know Dark Crusade is full of imbalances to please do not be fickle when choosing. Be snappy about it.
Players are to remain seated at their place until instructed.
Players cannot leave their place once the match starts. Please finish your small business before the matches begin. No breaks are allowed between matches.
Players are to play a best of 3 games. Should the winner having completed the first 2 matches, the third need not be played.
Players are only to start at my signal: you'll know who I am this Saturday. All players will be playing simultaneously therefore all players must be punctual.
If the game disconnects within 15 minutes, a restart is allowed. But if occurs after 15 minutes the TOTAL SCORE will determine the winner.
The ONLY map that will be played is Meeting of Minds. Hopefully players can play as much as possible to optimize the potential from one map.
Then these 2 bugs will not be allowed:
Delete bug on HQ
Delete bug for the Mad Orky's Nuke bomb
We will be saving game replays, further instructions on this will be available on the tournament day.
Players are to maintain the game summary page after each match to be recorded by Marshalls.


After the tournament:

Do hang around to mingle with the other players.
Do hang around to watch the tournament, it won't last past 6pm anyways.
Winners will need to provide me with their full names and then collect their prize early January 2007 as they paid from the company cheque.
There might a Free For All mini game event, further updates this Saturday.

Kong, pls explain in detail for this point, as in you cant delete a HQ for mass troop rush in early game or you cant delete a HQ when you are losing it for sure?

its not to be used in anyway at all.

Delete HQ isnt a bug man. It is called inbalanced because u get 50% cost returned to you. Delete Ork Burna Bomb and Crisis Suit's Flamer are exploits/bugs.
