he said my ps2 is 39006R ,not 30006R . so, he said will try to install
Messiah M-2 (gold) modchip.

but, he said can't guarantee can run DVDR/DVD9 because the chance is 50/50. he said the motherboard is not suitable for other modchip. dunno, correct or not .

my console is goin haywire atm and i think that the modchip is the culprit..mine is 3006r..can play dvd but cannot play games..the thing shit on me at the wrong time..i wanna play ff12

well if for 3006r what is the recommended mod chip ?

why not u got for matrix infinity, even in this forum has a user who could do it for u.. just use the search function.

Messiah 2 is kinda old and is not compatible with a number of newer games. Better get a much newer mod chip.

but, one question here: why burning media video file (vob) to any DVDR can run smoothly with my ps2 but only problem with burned ps2 game ?? I had tried 3 version of BT dl FF12 to many type of brand DVDR/RW ( MCC the best DVDRW still can't work ) .

why why why ?? ps2 game got hidden password in its' files or what ?? not making sense at all.

Maybe when you burn your backup ps2 games, you set to 8x or 12x, i only use 4x burning speed. BTW i only use Mitsubishi 8x DVD+R.

Messiah 2 i dont think it support dvd9 well, but of coz dvd9 is very rare in market, so it should do okay, if you have many dvd9 games so just use matrix infinity.

how much does a modchip cost?

I haven't tried with DVD9 yet. I also burn with 4x speed with Nero 7. I use Mitsubishi DVD+r 8x also. The PS2 game I burned is FF12. I had tried with other burner software too like alcohol 120% and DVD decripter. *sigh* no luck to run with my PS2.
