The second installment of the biggest Dota 2 event on the East Coast, ESL One New York 2015, is set to happen on October 3-4 at Madison Square Garden wherein at least $250,000 in cash prizes is to be awarded to the top participating teams.

For competitive Dota 2 teams from countries located in Southeast Asia, they are given the chance to make an appearance at ESL One through the online Open SEA Qualifier this August 22-23. Teams from countries located in South Asia, East Asia, and Oceania are also eligible for participation (with the exception of China). This is a great change from last year where there was no qualifier for SEA at all.

The Open SEA Qualifier is free registration at the ESL Play platform and signups has started. Registration closes on August 22, 2:00pm Singapore Time (SGT/GMT+8). The tournament itself starts the same day, 3:00pm SGT.

The top 4 teams of the Open SEA Qualifier will advance to the main qualifier portion wherein they face against 4 other seeded teams. Complete details of the main qualifier portion will be revealed soon.
