I've got an expired hotlink (recently), and I understand the only way to reactivate is to change it to postpaid. Customer service rep mentioned I've got 14 days grace period before the number is 'floated', is this right?

I only wish to keep the number active, hence I would like to know the cheapest option right now. I had a quick discussion with a Maxis rep just now, and this is the outcome.

Change it to Maxis 48 (as supplementary) and use it for 6 months (if this is the minimum usage), and then port it back as prepaid.
Q: What is the cost of porting out from postpaid (as supplementary) to prepaid?

Or please advise another cheaper alternative?
