I've gone to many camera shops in KL but couldn't find any that carries Sirui. Would someone please name a few shops that do. Thanks.

any difference? I know Manfrotto Befree is two times expensive but how is it when compare? |

QUOTE(Jimsee @ Aug 18 2015, 11:10 AM) compare t-1005x with Manfrotto Befree, More depends on equipment on the tripod. Is it heavy? Do you have heavy long zoom lens? Video? If doing video, you may want to invest in panning tripod than ball head. Dont buy light tripod for heavy equipment or else not stable or rigid.any difference? Well, YL Camera told me by phone they are out of stock in the model I want (both branches) even though their webstore lists it as in stock. I called the distributor Metzpro about availability in other shops, and was told they'd call me back in a few minutes, but they never did.
I'm looking for the N-series which is taller than the usual ones, and preferably in a set with the G-20 ballhead. Anyone saw any Sirui's anywhere besides YL? This post has been edited by kotmj: Aug 18 2015, 02:16 PM |

I bought mine from Taobao.
So if you are running out of options, you could consider there as well. This post has been edited by fruitie: Aug 18 2015, 02:26 PM |

QUOTE(Jimsee @ Aug 18 2015, 12:24 PM) Good question to ponder. That looks heavy. Travelling tripod might not be enough if the tripod load capacity is too small. There should be a info sheet for the model you seek detailing head load capacity and tripod load capacity before you purchase. Unless the lens has the mount hole, you may have spend extras on unique head that allow centre of gravity adjustment. My shooting style primarily for landscapes with wide lens. Occasionally. i use zoom lense like canon 70-200mm F4. Bring ur camera with heaviest load and test first see if it shake or move at slighest bump or when shutter operates. Just bought mine off a Penang seller on lelong. Metzpro did get back to me to tell me they are out of stock and offered me a different set/model but it's a higher end model in carbon fiber which I do not need.

QUOTE(kotmj @ Aug 22 2015, 12:27 AM) Good setup and the tripod certainly look nice, almost bought a t005 but at last I bought myself the Jusino AX254 and never look back, it is a bit heavy but for stability and setting up, for the price I can't nit-pick. How much you bought and how is the performance? |

It's a set with the ballhead; RM1080. So far, I find it very satisfying to use. It goes up to 64", or about 10" taller than regular height tripods. The Siruis are supremely well-reviewed, both tripods and heads.

Was looking for a Sirui T-025X... Shashinki no stock, Lazada not listed... I reckon when new stocks arrive the price is going to be ridiculous thanks to MYR.

Well now a bit too late.. I've been looking around and there's nothing out there that's as light as the T025X for the money.
My camera is just a RX100 m3, so I don't need so much weight load capacity. And usually taking pictures in urban areas, so wind is not such a big issue for me. |

YL Camera and Shashinki seems to have stock now if you are still looking. My camera is just a RX100 m3, so I don't need so much weight load capacity. I was lucky to score a last unit from Lazada for an insanely cheap price compared to the going price for this. ![]() |

Trying to get a new travel tripod as well. As I'm pretty small in size, trying to get as light as possible.
Currently have two options in mind which are the T-005X Aluminum and also the T025X. Not too sure whether is it worth the extra for T025x. Any advice? I already have another full size CF tripod so trying to get as light and small as possible. Oh ya, will use it normally with a 6D with 24-70, once in a while 70-200 2.8 This post has been edited by Grajindo: Jan 18 2016, 09:59 PM |

I would have gone for that instead of the T-025x if i didn't find that deal.Currently have two options in mind which are the T-005X Aluminum and also the T025X.
