Getting Started

|
I'm currenly work in Logistics co. I think the job scope should be -: planning the trip for lorry driver so that they'll have the best route to go. plan for the vessel to load & unload.
From my 4 years of experience in logistics, planner is the one who always "kena tembak" either by ur superior or customer.
Good luck!!

QA = Quality Assurance Logistic = Sounds like you're going for DHL type of company ISO Standard = International Standard.. There are tons of ISO Standard, please specify it. Are you sure the job requirement just stated "QA/Logistic/ISO Standard.. blah blah blah"? If you provide blur question or job description, then you will expect to receive blur answer... Have u heard of garbage in, garbage out.

QUOTE($ove @ Nov 17 2006, 09:29 AM) In whatever field: Process improvement mean you need to study the best process of completing certain task with shortest time & minimun cost to ensure max productivity. $ove have a point. Another definition is Logistics is the technique of managing and controlling the flow of goods, energy, information and other resources like products, services, and people, from the source of production to the marketplace. It is difficult to accomplish any marketing or manufacturing without logistical support. It involves the integration of information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material handling, and packaging. The operating responsibility of logistics is the geographical repositioning of raw materials, work in process, and finished inventories where required at the lowest cost possible. Source
