Anyone kind enough to recommend me cheapest RGB mechanical keyboard available?
Any brand would do. Its been long time since I've research on mech keyboards and with Malaysia currency, I got no idea of prices nowadays. The cheapest keyboard available I've seen is more than RM350, wondering if there are cheaper than this. Thanks in advance. Thanks in advance. |

QUOTE(finecut @ Jan 12 2016, 10:09 PM) Tesoro or something I forgot. Less than 300. But design too gamerish. Oh, but the one I've seen (Filco, Ducky, CM) all over my budget. Guess have to save up to have a good mech keyboardFilco, ducky zero or coolermaster more budget friendly. Or just lurk around in garage sales. Thanks for the input! QUOTE(ntw @ Jan 12 2016, 11:15 PM) don't think there are any locally available RGB mechanical keyboards here. try taobao for the keycool although it's not using Cherry MX switch if you do not mind Well, I don't mind non Cherry switch. I'm having problem with surfing on TaoBao (don't know how to read chinese) Thanks for the input! QUOTE(-Hzu- @ Jan 12 2016, 11:16 PM) I believe there are some E-Elements RGB that goes for pretty cheap. Oh, will check it out! Thanks! Also, Granite DSA on Massdrop. QUOTE(quadcube @ Jan 13 2016, 09:47 PM) i think there's a differences between them,u check first page post,i think you can get the info from there for different size, such as spacebar size also diff for some i think oh..ok..still got alot more to dig about this LingYi, apparently, not much of reviews available.not too sure coz my keyboard layout is generic,so i'm not too bothered about the compatibility QUOTE(-Hzu- @ Jan 13 2016, 09:57 PM) If it's MX compatible switch, then you just need to check for the layout. But if you get a non-gaming keyboard, you most likely won't have any issues. Oh, okay, i got alot mroe to research about mech keyboards. Well, since you don't care about the switches you might as well just lool for the one with the most customizable backlighting. That's what you want, but cheap ones probably can't. thanks for the info guys! wanna get cheap mech keyboard to see whether it suits me or not. |

QUOTE(dadudeneverabides @ Jan 13 2016, 11:41 PM) Better to find sifu and see if they let you molest. well, i played with mech keyboard before from my friend. very nice to type using the key. i believe its brown switch, Ducky Shine 2 if not mistaken.Or go molest in shop. Personally, it won't work for me because I need to test extensively (2 weeks at least) before I commit. |

QUOTE(dadudeneverabides @ Jan 14 2016, 11:18 AM) MX Browns are the most controversial switches I've ever had the pleasure of trying. Some hated it, some loved it, but it's often suggested as the gateway switch for new users. yea..the brown switch is just nice to the force i used..prefer blue switch cause of the clicky sounds though You'll buy another one soon enough. different user have different preference..that's why they have various type of switches.. well, now on tight budget, maybe need to wait few more months see whether i can afford >RM300 mech keyboard. now still researching regarding the keys. |

QUOTE(dadudeneverabides @ Jan 14 2016, 04:25 PM) Problem is... good keycap set will cost upwards of 200. I estimate at least 300+ in order to get a decent set. yea...realize it too seeing the price of those common keyboards. that's why i need to wait few more months to be able to afford one Board... well, minimum spend here is about 300. Add both and you'll realize why this hobby had to take a break after a few years. |
