I believed the veteran don't want to take risk on something that he can't 100% fix it.

I love floating keycaps, but it seems like my options are limited to corsair which i already own. Or is there any other reliable brand that i am unaware of?

I don't think floating counts as a characteristic of the keycap, but rather the bezel/enclosure design....

*edit: oh nevermind, realized you were asking about keyboards not keycaps

Maybe it's time for custom keyboard. A B.87 from winkeyless korea will set you for about 320USD if it's assembled by them. (Prepare you own keycaps)

Probably you can get it a bit cheaper (close to 100USD cheaper) if you use gateron switches and assembled by local enthusiast.

Because they are meant to be. tongue.gif

I'm waiting for a few pieces of them to arrive. Also bought a Varmillo Switch Tester to play around, which have both Cherry MX and Gateron switches to try out.
But actually, the only reason I bought it is because it can be used as a number row too. lol

[WTA] Is there anybody who offers this service?

TRIM CHERRY STABILIZERS

Keyboard is a KBP v60. I tried to do it myself but couldn't even figure out how to remove the stabilizers from the PCB.

Shift, Backspace & Enter are all waaay mushier than my other board with Cherry stabs. But the issue is not covered by warranty as they view this as an inherent characteristic, not a fault.

*IMPORTANT: FAST JOB REQUIRED AS I NEED THE BOARD BACK ASAP*

Thanks

I don't own a kbp board, but from what I see, it's using plate mounted stabs. I think you need to desolder everything to get it out.

Edit : should be able to get it out by desoldering that particular switch.

Anyone knows if the Ducky Zero 2087 TKL is any good? Durable? Are there better options at the same price point for a TKL w/ red switches.

am using one right now, brown switch with poker 2 as my alt. cheaper than other brands but nonetheless a great , durable board. gets the job done. same price point i think quite hard to match, but better one's would be filco much expensive but better quality as the veterans says. mayb one of the sifu's here can recommend other boards for u.
