QUOTE(DarkSilver @ Aug 22 2015, 03:51 PM) You seem to be a bit confuse... Double Shot, Dye-Sublimated, Laser-Latched, etc are PRINTING TECHNIQUES of making the "FONT" on the keycaps. NOT THE MATERIALS used to make the keycaps. (You can imagine this as painting style, like cute style, realistic style, abstract, etc) PBT, ABS, POM, Zinc, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, etc are MATERIALS used for the keycaps. (You can imagine these are choices of painting medium choices, like color pencils, oil paint, water color, acrylic paint, etc) So, DO NOT MIX them up. Not all ABS keycaps are slippery. But, most of them are(which commonly found). ABS keycaps can be NON-SLIPPERY too if it's SANDBLASTED by default and using very good quality ABS materials. Usually, ABS Keycaps surface will get oily or shiny after sometime. But, if they're sandblasted, they'll last longer than non-sandblasted. PBT keycaps are mainly chalky by nature and more durable. Which means, you can have Double Shot PBT Keycaps and also Double Shot ABS Keycaps on the market. Because, Double Shot is a PRINTING TECHNIQUE, NOT materials. |

QUOTE(OldSchoolJoke @ Jan 13 2016, 09:27 PM) oh..cute cat you got there.. wanna ask, will the keycaps be compatible with all mechanical keyboards from all brand?? i think there's a differences between them,u check first page post,i think you can get the info from there for different size, such as spacebar size also diff for some i thinkif I'm getting, I think i'll try out the LingYi Black Widow. Still researching. not too sure coz my keyboard layout is generic,so i'm not too bothered about the compatibility |
