Hi guys,
Just need some advice..

I recently won one of the award (generation N) of Nikon Photo Contest 2014-2015 and they will be giving me a Nikon DF Body (BODY only - no lenses). Should I sell it away? I am actually a sony user .. I got my A7M2 from SWPA and I already have a few set of lenses (all sony e mount.. FE/vintage), my gears should be sufficient for my current photography works or in the coming years..

So the question is should I keep the DF and maybe get a cheap nikon lens like a backup camera? (or it is more wise to sell it away and invest in maybe newer lenses/other gears in the future - then I will stay with Sony line)? - currently have a6000 & a7m2.

appreciate any suggestion or insights given thanks. rclxub.gif

Well if you don't desire to build a Nikon system then sell it. Its expensive to have to build 2 systems without good reason.

And Sony a7ii is plenty good of a camera.

Since you already have some very decent Sony cameras, imho there's no point in keeping the DF. What's more FF lenses are really expensive cry.gif Sell the DF, then buy some better Sony lenses thumbup.gif

I'm only using 2 system because no one buying my Canon system! tongue.gif

Well yeah it's as the above, no point keeping 2 systems.

Furthermore the Nikon DF would be best paired with a good lens and they're the price of another A7 camera body.

There might be.

The DF uses Nikon D4's sensor but the from what I know of the focusing speed is lousy. biggrin.gif People who buy it are usually those who don't need the focusing speed and intends to own a retro looking camera.
