Hey guys!

I have a 1tb external hard drive that I plug in my TV via USB to watch movies.

It always worked fine, I was able to watch mp4, avi and mkvs without issues.

Now some movies won't play anymore "Video codec not supported" error message.

It happened with only some movies at first so I thought it was just because they used a different encoding.

but where it gets weird is now, like 80% of my movies are giving that error message. A lot of them that I watched before many times and they always played fine.

So it can't be the codec or encoding because the encoding didn't change since it was working fine before and now not anymore. The files are the same.

The TV is a Panasonic 32inch model TH-L32C4K and the external HDD is a Buffalo HD-PNTU3.

What do you think is the problem, the HDD or the TV? and anything ideas how to fix this?

Cheers!
