Some information on Symphony's Sg Long land:
Lot PT 12269 to PT 12274  Mukim and District of Ulu Langat

419 acres

Land Existing Use:
Quarry land for extraction of rock reserves together with office and quarry buildings

99 year lease expiring on 2111.
Additional Notes:
I think this land is behind Desa Budiman based on 2014 Malaysian Insider's report:

According to executive chairman Tan Sri Azman Yahya, the delay was due to the state government’s plan to acquire part of the land for the Langat 2 water treatment plant project and a proposed new highway.

The residents should get hold a copy of gazetted plan for EKVE to ensure what claim by LLM is correct, seek help from pressure group and environmentalist but if really this is gazetted plan nothing much can be done sad.gif cry.gif

AZRB manager claim they will use hydraulic type of piling and not the hammer-type
thus less vibration and noise issue

This is clearly contrary with what described in page ES-15 of DEIA for the Proposed EKVE (KLORR) vmad.gif

From the noise contours produced by numerical simulation, it is found that the highway has minimal impact to the nearest residential areas since they are located at least 100 METERS away from the highway alignment.

However, the most affected area is Pekan Batu 14 in the Hulu Langat district. In this area, noise barrier needs to be erected to reduce noise impact to the surrounding community.

my guess is, during the EIA survey, Desa Budiman Phase 6 not even built yet.
construction of DB6 started around 2012

This is possible, there is a group of Change EKVE facebook group, may be DB residents can combine with them to voice out for realignment of EKVE further away from residential area.

IMO we need direct link to Silk Highway toward KL direction, with this link your first three wishes will come but your fourth wish may not materialise even before EKVE start, this highway will cut through Bukit Enggang aka Sg Long hill from Desa Budiman all the way to Twin Palms.

Yeah I agree that there is a need for a direct link to SILK Highway to enable people from Sg Long and BMC to easily go Balakong / Serdang / KL area. rclxms.gif Otherwise, there will be continuous jam everyday at Jalan Sg Long. rclxub.gif

Lol, even back in 1990s we have hiked in Bukit Enggang aka Sg Long Hill albeit I was still very young then. We went together with relatives that lived in Cheras Perdana, all of us quite happy on the greenery environment, I remembered I promised my mom will buy her a house around Sg Long Hill then.....and I did it in end of 2007 when Palm Walk launched icon_rolleyes.gif

Albeit some greenery has gone, my neighbour still go hiking there almost every day, they even form a Sg Long Hill Group in facebook

https://www.facebook.com/groups/852226088172556/

Need to visit this place more frequent before it was destroyed by EKVE cry.gif

I only hope the forest that facing Palm Walk still can remain there.

nice, I saw that FB group but did not join them, and met someone wearing their t-shirt at sg long morning market on one weekend. laugh.gif

yesterday received a call from MPKJ on the complain I made on the noise from the construction site behind/beside Taming Indah 2, they asked me provide them the number of the developer, I have no idea who are they, I drove around that area yesterday and the only signboard is the one you posted before opposite SL6. rclxub.gif
