I just bought a second hand wii.

So I try to update it to latest version without researching. My mistake. Now it is bricked with error 003.

Previous version was 3.4U. I think it was a hacked version as I see home brew menu. I thought I can run the update and all the hacking will be removed then I can buy some used ori games. In fact I just ordered some used ori wii games. Now I can't play it. What a waste. Anyone can help?

Interested to know. Is there any services in KL which can repair this error 003? Cuz I did it to mine too.

However, I do know that this error occurred due to the Wii being a Korean Wii using US region firmware. So when updating, the error 003 occur because the Wii was supposed to use Korea region firmware instead. That's from what I've gathered at least.

Yup. I heard there is a rollback method that is possible to be employed to the Wii. But thing is, not sure who is capable of doing so.

Hello mr. andrew. I have the same case. I know that people are not really using nintendo WII nowadays.

Just bought a 2nd hand WII, and without any knowledge, I had connected the WII unit to my Wi-Fi and suddenly it asked to update. So then I did my update, after some times, stopped, and suddenly the GREAT ERROR 003 showed up.
