I'm currently a Maxis postpaid subscriber on the surf more 75 plan. I will be moving to another country for a 2-year work assignment in a couple of month's time, but I'd like to keep my number active with minimum charges.

What options do I have?
- can I switch to prepaid and top up minimum amount to keep the number active? What is the min. Top up amount and validity period?
- or is there a "holiday" plan like gym membership?
- or switch to another service provider? LOL...

Anyway, I will still need to be able to receive texts and calls with this number so "freezing" it may not be an option for me. Appreciate some advice.

Apology for such delay in responding to your inquiry. In your scenario, you may either,

1. convert your current mobile number to be prepaid
2. change your rateplan to the lowest rateplan

For either request, you may walk into any nearest Maxis Centre.
