(Note : I review this product because there is no affiliation between me and ILLEGEAR SDN BHD but as my own self interest.)

As for a start, i'm not a good product viewing expert but as a customer that is happy and satisfied with this Laptop, i'll try my best. So recently i bought this custom laptop with my friend recommendation that it is the better choices than other famous brand like MSI, GIGABYTE, AUOROS and few others since it got the Dekstop CPU and Removeable Mobile GTX GPU. For someone like me that has been using PC for more than 10 Years, this is one heck of a hard choices i had to make.

I'm an Editor, Architectural Designer as well a casual Gamer, getting a good specification with a good prices, portabilty and long term use is my original plan . I interested in MSI GT80 and GT72 Dominator Pro and for some reason i tried to purchase it for the 5th Generation Broadwell Processor and they stop selling it to Malaysia. So i tried to order it Online outside from Malaysia but the Cost is to expensive. Then from there my best friend suggested ILLEGEAR as my Portable Dekstop Replacement Laptop.

I will explain about how good their customer service are. I phoned them on Monday(end of july) at 2PM and ask them about the Model i was looking (which is the D7) and they explain it thoroughly and an agreement is made. 5 minutes after that i receive Whatsapp Message from Mr. Chin and with the help from his staff, i put my order online and they also help me out getting my specification setup and the price calculated. It was fast, superb and easy to choose with great staff to customer communication panel. So to be short is i put my order for RM10k plus laptop online without looking at the product and actually see them face to face. 2 Week after that i collect it at their studio and done! 8/10 for me for their customer services.

For the Gaming Laptop itself, D7 was based on (Clevo P770ZM-G) and i customized it based on this Specification :

Display : 17.3" Full HD Anti-glare Display IPS Wide Color & Viewing (1920 x 1080) (75Hz G-Sync Compatible Monitor)
Processor : Intel® Core™ i7-4790K *DESKTOP* Overclockable Processor (8MB L3 Cache, 4.0GHz)
Graphics Card : Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M 8GB GDDR5 (Maxwell) with Nvidia G-Sync
RAM : 32GB Dual Channel DDR3L RAM 1600MHz - 4 X 8GB
Wireless Network Card : Killer™ Wireless-AC 1525 M.2 - WLAN & Bluetooth 4.1 Combo
M.2 SSD RAID Boot Drive : 120GB Crucial M500 M.2 SATA Solid State Drive
M.2 SSD Secondary Drive : 512GB Plextor 2280 M.2 PCIe Solid State Drive
Storage Drive : 1TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive x 2 (2 TB Non-RAID)
Operating System : Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit
Power Adapter : 230W 19.5V 4-prong power supply

Both CPU and GPU is Replaceable and Upgradeable if newer version of Hardware is available. For Benchmarking and Gameplay, i'm not actually expert doing so but i already upload a Video of my review on Youtube and i still getting to know on how to benchmarking the proper way and maybe someone might have the idea.

Last but not least, thanks for reading and comment if you got any idea about How to Benchmark and Laptop Management.

I am curious about the weight of the laptop itself? how heavy was it?

Btw benchmark you can just download PCMark or 3DMark and let it run, at the end of the test you will see your score.
CPU-Z is a good tool to see all the detailed information of ur hardware

All the laptop that's running GTX 970m and above is having a bulky charger.. Or else the power will not be sufficient and the charging rate will be hell slow.
I owned one myself too..

This one has thunderbolt, but then again 980M by default is exactly the desktop 970, with MORE RAM (980M comes with 8GB, desktop 970 comes with 3.5GB usable RAM)

so a 970 with a desktop i7 in a laptop format, this is so full of win.

Yep the GTX 980m is on par with the GTX970, but for performance wise i think a PC is still a big win all aspect except the mobility part. Well, having a blast so far biggrin.gif

yeah, there is 2 variant of the charger which is the 230W adapter and 330W adapter, by default if you bought it they will give the 230W and it is already enough for my daily basis use. Unless having to overclocking more than 4.8Ghz then you will need a much higher Watt Adapter. Welpp the temperature aint good if you running more than 4.5Ghz on a Laptop tongue.gif
