Sifu-Sifu, i want to add one more stick of ram to my laptop (msi gp60 2od) as 4GB (1x4GB) isn't enough for me. I would like to make it 8GB in total and dual channel. What ram should I get?

Best is to get the same brand and model of the ram that you are currently using.
Download some third party software to pin point your ram and model.

Nono, as long any third party software that lets you get the Ram model and brand. it is fine. It seems you got it so go get the same RAM model and brand. it would be better just make sure whether it is low voltage or not.

Yes. My OS is Win10 64-bit. why?

because if 32-bit cannot support 8GB RAM.

Just for your kno0wledge
you can pair any pair of DDR3 RAMs even if they have different clock speeds (for example 1600 / 1333)
or even if they have different voltages (1.35V / 1.5V)

but you cannot compromise of RAM timings or latency
so make sure that the two RAMs you are slotting have the same RAM timing / Latency

?? you cannot pair ddr3l with not the same speed. My laptop easily crash when i used 2 brand and diff speed. ddr3l not the same with ddr3.. don't confuse.. only put what is the manufacturer said.

im speaking from personal experience
DDR3L has the ability to sitch between 1.35V and 1.5V depending on the other stick
also your ram can downclock to match the speed of the ram with the lowest clock speed in the system

if y put ddr3l in ddr3 are it would work? logically not.
downclock yes but stabilty no. dual channel yes.this my experince .
