QUOTE(hyroxy @ Aug 13 2015, 03:13 PM) that's means my laptop is sata i, then if I installed ssd that itself sata iii, it will perform same goes as sata i, right? never change the performance right? so, it useless if I change to ssd. better change new hdd one Whatever SATA version your laptop have, when you installed SSD to it...the responsive of system is much much better than all HDD out there...

QUOTE(hyroxy @ Aug 13 2015, 03:46 PM) owh, I thought when change ssd it would be the same as sata i performance. so, it will enhance slightly in performance if I used ssd sata iii no matter what my platform sata i have QUOTE(Zot @ Aug 13 2015, 03:54 PM) SATA and PATA is the interface performance. Now the SSD, HDD or SSHD is another story. This is the drive hardware performance. HDD is traditional drive using magnetic plate with moving mechanical parts. The SSD is solid state drive using technology something like your thumb drive with no moving part. So, SSD is "very" fast and noticeable speed advantage over traditional HDD. SSHD is Solid State Hybrid Drive, taking advantage of both technology. You can Google to understand moreĀ Zot is correct. SATA is only interface. The version is indicate the speed capping. READ HERESo, with your laptop SATA1 port version, install the SATA3 version SSD and the max speed you will get is ~150MB/s even the SSD spec is up to 550MB/s. But still superior to normal HDD speed (~50 to 80MB/s i think..) This post has been edited by kherel77: Aug 13 2015, 04:07 PM
