If I bought one new H8, does it come with latest firmware, do I need to reset or flash the firmware? Does it installed with latest apk such as netflix and iflix and others?
*
Yes, our boxes are flash with latest firmware and preinstalled with free streaming apps.

However, to be noted that Netflix is working well with Hinedia but iflix is not compatible with the chipset.

My friend just bought one Ac Ryan Veelo 4k with air mouse today from Lowyat. From the demo it seems it is an essential tool to fully enjoy the tv box experience, although I read in review Veelo having top notch remote control design. So is it highly recommended to get one air mouse to use with H8? Could it be more user friendly than a wireless mouse?
*
To be more precise, majority of Android apps are designed base on smart phone with touch screen, to optimize the navigation of Android apps, wireless or wired mouse would very much helpful. However, some TV set top box apps are designed for iR remote control via cursor key.

The air mouse combine the function of mouse and cursor plus the keyboard which give the advantages.

However to operate air mouse, you need some time to adapt as to operate gyroscope air mouse is totally different from traditional wireless mouse.

I would not say air mouse is better then traditional mouse,

Boss, any model that support format 10bit?
*
Sorry for late response, took some time to search and download 10bit sample video.

10bit video can be played via preinstalled Kodi.

I have got one external Samsung USB blu-ray drive. Could I connect it to the H8 and play dvd or blu-ray movies from it from any discs that I bought? Basically H8 also served as dvd, cd and blu-ray disc player?
*
There is no interface to connect your Blu-ray drive to Android TV box, therefore technically your wish could not be fulfill.

Oh what a shame. Could you request the manufacturer to provide this feature? Technically it should not be tough, or is there an add-on to be able to do that? For Windows pc it is straight forward and it is a must. Don't see why android can't do it.
*
Please find below reasons that Android do not support external Blu-ray drive :

https://community.futuremark.com/forum/show...driver-software

When you purchase External Blu-ray drive, typical Blue-ray manufacturer will indicate support OS : Windows XP, Windows VISTA, Windows 7,...and it bundled with Windows driver or MAC OS bin file for you to install. Hardly you could find Blu-ray drive in the market that support Android OS.

HI i would like to check how to setup VPN like privateinternetaccess  into the H8?
*
Always use native VPN protocol such PPTP or L2TP, below link is the example :

https://www.securitykiss.com/resources/tuto...s/l2tp_android/

P/S: typically we don't encourage to use VPN unless there is seriously trottling or blocking by ISP.

Hi nicety,

How frequent the manufacturer will release the firmware upgrade and bug fixes patch for H8?
What apps will be preinstalled?

Recently many movie or drama apps is blocked and restricted to china user only sad.gif
*
The firmware release depend on the bugs reported, so far the firmware version has been 9 versions since product launched.

We do not disclosed the apps preinstalled openly, otherwise it is blocked the next day. If you have any apps in mind just let us know, will install for you.

Most of the well known apps has Geo blocked which you mean only China IP can watch. But there are other alternative apps as per shared by my customers could watch without Geo block.

Hi...im interested in an android box.
Choosing between himedia & minix neo.

Can share yr experience which one is more user friendly, better support fm manufacturer?

Are both of them w english menu?

Im a newbie for android box...wl use it mainly for streaming movies n tv series.

Thks.
*
If you noticed I selling only two brands, either Himedia or Minix, because both are reliable and good support from the manufacturer, regular firmware bug fixes. Minix is more pricy because it has international forum support.

If you ask me, it is depend on your budget.

Both are English Menu.

Hi I am interested in h8. Btw does it support hvec file format ? What do u pre install in the unit? For example latest firmware and software? Or I have to do it myself? Thanks
Sorry 2 more questions got usb3 and hardisk tray inside?
*
Hvec is H.265 under ITU standard which is supported by H8 Octa core as mentioned in the thread.

Latest firmware is installed and preinstalled with 30++ free streaming apps and tools, but we do not disclosed the apps to be installed as this will attract some party to block the apps. If you have any apps in mind just let us know we will install for you.

H8 do not have USB 3.0 or HDD tray, if you wish to have HDD enclosure please wait for the up coming Q10 pro. But please ready to pay extra for the enclosure.

Hi nicety,

Thks for the reply.
Pls quote me best price for both and let me decide.
Also both are ready stocks?
Do you have a shop i can visit in penang?

Thks.
*
Thank you for inquiry. We are selling firm price for both H8 and U2 in order to save time for negotiation and spare more time for support and services.

Both are ready stock, next business day dispatch.

We only selling online to cut cost for rental, at the same time we have flexibility to support customer any time any where. I'm sorry, we are not traditional shop sellers just to push the products out. Android box is software driven device, you need good apps to be installed and good post sales support which is our main focus.

is the airplay stable with h8? which mean no drop in connection while streaming from ios 9.3. thx
*
May I know if you have bad experience with other player?typical air play drop could be due to the wifi or the sender apps itself.

By the way, H8 is using HappyPlay which support IOS 9.x, this is free app you can try the app on Android OS by yourself to verify the stability.
