Hi guys/gals,

1) I just upgraded from 10M to 30M and I am still using all stock units provided by TM from ~2yrs ago (L7-N-R2000). Will there be any impact to performance? Or will the "newer" RG TMRND better?

2) And I noticed that after changed to 30M, overall ping increased by ~5ms, page loading definitely faster but the time for browser to find(?) the webpage is now longer (after entering address). Any solution? icon_question.gif

Solved by replacing the router with AC56S

All OK here with 30 Mbps, using Asus AC-68U router, with Asus N-56U backup..

I was afraid that its the router problem, trying to get confirmation here.

Was using 10M with no problem, but problem starts after getting 30M. Speedtest is all good, but sometimes webpage not loading at all...

I upgraded from 10m to 30m too..no problem so far. Page loads faster. Download things also seems faster. Upload 5 mb. So far no problem. Still maintain my free calls from unifi to unifi/tm line.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, but I can't help but to ask: How awesome is it?

Specifically what is your average download speed like?

Did you test using LAN or Wifi?

Speedtest should be done via LAN, lots of Wifi interference.

in order for you to experience 30 Mbps, you need to make sure your Wireless Router supports 802.11 AC. You can try to speedtest.net using Ethernet, the speed is amazing but once you use WiFi it degrades due to congestion/distance etc.

Yes, your old orange colour router will not get you 30.
I had to change to Asus.

I have no problem on daytime or night time. The only thing matters for me is the download speed seems "bottlenecked" or just couldn't get up to 30Mbps.
Here are my recent speed testings with PC and mobile:

Apparently it stucks on 25~26Mbps and I've tried to trace it in MB/s via steam and P2P client. It could never go over 2.8, while the perceived speed should be 3.75 rclxub.gif rclxub.gif
