Yeah the result is good. But the performance is totally off. If we don't fix it sooner rather than later we will be exposed and exploited... especially that we are facing big guns in coming games. So its worrying indeed.

Last season I agreed that the kpi for BR is Champions league spot. And he did not achieve that. If it is in my hand I will have him replaced with Rafa. But my focus is always on the team, the club. Coz we don't have any say on who's going to be the manager. FSG decided to stick with BR... so that's how it's gonna be. To me, it was never about pro-BR or anti-BR. It is always about supporting the team.

Btw I'm glad my prediction came true... cool.gif

But.....this is worrying, how long will the luck be with us?
*
The luck will stop when we meet arsenal.
Still the same poor performance if not worst than last game. BR insisting with lallana in starting eleven is not helping the team... He should be dropped. Same goes to ibe... I still cannot see what type of football we going to play this season....
Ironically moreno who played last 5-7 min pose more threat...
Firmin shoul be given more playtime...

It also shows that if you really gives your all you will be rewarded. He hit the ground running starting from the pre season...

Swansea's Jonjo Shelvey says Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers tried to persuade him not to leave Anfield in 2013.

Midfielder Shelvey, 23, told BBC Sport Rodgers even called his dad in a last-ditch attempt to halt the move.

"I was on the way to Swansea and he told me I didn't have to go," said Shelvey, who faces his former club in the Premier League on Monday.

"He spent hours on the phone to my dad in an effort to try and get me to stay. But I had made up my mind to come."

----------------------------------------------------

"He couldn't guarantee me the first-team football at Liverpool, and he said if I could get the game-time at Swansea then I should definitely go.

"I could have stayed at Liverpool and fought for my place because they didn't want to get rid of me, but I felt, in the end, I needed to come and make a name for myself.

"Rather than sit on the bench every week at Liverpool I need to come and play football and get myself to the status that I once had.

Great to see our 'fans' turning on rodgers after 4 games. He is only one point short of the average 2points per game required for top 4.

Old trafford game is likely to be a defeat but after that the fixtures ease up which is when rodgers can try rack up as many points as possible.

I prefer to wait at until Christmas to see where we are at that point. Remember Stoke game? As far as I remember, nobody gives any hope and fair enough given what happened last season. But we did win in the end. So it's a mix of result so far.

For MU game, I do hope that somebody will turn up, Firminho may be... brows.gif Some say that we are not much different than MU in term performance this season. But if I'm not mistaken they still have more attempts and shot on goal... compared to us.

as for Gomez, you have one-season wonders, and now we have a one-match wonder...wtf is BR doing...zzz...
*
its really the case of playing the best of the worst. Who else do we have there that is better than Gomez. I won't trust moreno there.

even allen can do a better job or atleast he rarely give this humialing lose when playing in midfield.. he just doesnt have that special attribute to make him thrive to the squad.. his ball shielding is too underrated by some fan.. even coutinho told once he learned shielding from allen
*
yes something I can appreciate. His shielding usually won us freekick

such huge difference between city and liverpool, city going gung ho now against west ham even though they were 0-2 before score 1 back at half time. i would be happy if liverpool manage half of what city doing now
*
I watched WHU second goal then MC 1st goal. I wouldn't say it was gung ho approach. More like the were keeping the ball waiting for the right opportunity to come, to make penetrating pass. I will be pleased if we are playing like west ham now, good in keeping the ball. Make full use of setpieces.

the gung ho happend on 2nd half, there must be at least 5-6 shots in 20 mins. in comparison, liverpool were absolutely pathetic. less than 10 mins now, looks like west ham gonna get their 3rd giant kills (thats if liverpool still a giant)
*
i see, didnt watch the second half

It more of a relief than anything else for Rodg.

We could hv won with a bigger margin. Stur is a big player for us. Need to keep him fit.
*
^ that is our big problem right there. When we need to put our hope on an injury prone player... we are in a big trouble.
Sadly at the moment, only he seem to be able to link up well with others. His understanding with Cout, his interchange pass wit Ings.
