Any idea why there have so many bad user review in metacritic? This situation is almost the same like previous Death Stranding.

I was went thru this game, so far the gameplay is nice. The map is big for me to explore and collect materials. I just only exploring last night already consumed 2~3 hours.

So I assume that some reason why they give bad review,
1. Unacceptable storyline
2. Fake review by Xbox and PC gamers.
3. Boring game

1. Yes. Especially if you are the fan of previous Part 1. It's not only unacceptable, it's illogical as well.
2. Not fake. The medias gave good reviews while most of the gamers gave bad reviews. Most of the medias gave reviews based on the gameplay itself. They skip the comment about story telling. On the other hand, gamers gave bad reviews solely due to the bad story telling. That's the reason why the media reviews are totally opposite to the gamer's reviews, by huge margin.
3. Not boring. However, it's disgusting. At some points, it may make you feel uncomfortable. Especially if you love the previous protagonist in Part 1.

Anyway, just continue your game journey. Till one point in the game, you will automatically know why people gave bad reviews on this game.


I haven't bought the game. Planned to buy it during future PSN sales. But after watching some game scenes myself (the game already released in US few days ago), I decided to skip this. It's not because of the bad reviews, it's because of me knowing that I won't enjoy this game at all due to the storyline, no matter how good the gameplay is. I don't hate the game, but I hate the way how they present the story.

However, if you don't care about the storyline at all, the gameplay and quality is the only things you are looking for, then this game is a must for you.

I already watch the scenes joel get butchered by abby with gold club then we as as player have to play as abby characters. WTH is that and also the ending at the end is stupid when ellie let go of abby after killing spree all abby friend

A lot of players put a lot of personal feelings into the game. So can't really blame them.

If you guys realize, SJW is influencing gaming scene more and more obvious nowadays. putting the political agenda here and there and it only is going to get worst.

Looking at PS5 reveal and EA event, more diversity, more feminism, more support to LGBTQ... I'm not against any of these if they do it with subtle.

But the whole woke culture (which i think it's hypocrite) influences makes media (Movie, drama or game) boring.

TLOU2 is like the new Star Wars trilogy (Ep7~9), political agenda over story, that's why it get sucks.

I hope the studios and publisher realize this sooner before games got ruined like recent hollywood movies.

Lara Croft is still cool without selling "Girl Power", it's just how she is, that's more than enough.

I thought someone already posted the spoiler in previous post. You didn't notice it? Anyway, the level of disgusting is depending on how much you love the TLOU 1. The more you care about the protagonist, the more you feel uncomfortable.

Good that you are planning to buy 2nd hand copy. I believe many people will throw it out with cheap price very soon. LOL.

At the same time, I feel sad for the gamers who bought the digital copy.

Right now, the only thing I am afraid about is the GOTY. If TLOU 2 win the GOTY title this year, all hells will break loose. I really have no idea what will happen next, in this game industry....
