Hi,

Would like to know if there is any way in Photoshop CS2 that enable me to save the .psd file that can be open for editing with older version of Photoshop (eg. version 5)?

It's something like Flash 8.. where you can choose to save the flash file as Flash MX..

Thank you.

Somehow when I tick the "maximum compatibility" in CS2, I cant open it in other versions of Photoshop, eg Photoshop 7.

So maybe that's the problem..

i've just been told by a friend that we are able to save in other version with CS2.. there is a function called "Save a Version.." in File menu.. but mine is greyed out, disabled..

searched through the help file and there is something called Version Cue.. i've enable it but nothing happened..

then, i tried to use Adobe Bridge to use this "Save a Version".. it's still greyed out.. anyone mind pointing out the problem to me? thanks!

Older versions don't support:
Layers
Sets
Sets within sets (below CS2)
Masking (???)
Layer Syles (5?)

Make it as simple as possible to enable saving as another version.

lol.. i'm using CS2 by the way, both my home desktop and laptop.. tell my boss..
he's using photoshop 5 for the whole office.. when our workstations were lagged like hell.. i've resorted to use my laptop to meet his deadlines..

anyway, mind asking an out-topic question.. what do u think the minimum PC requirement for doing web designing which involves photo editing, flash, etc..

*hope my boss read this* tongue.gif
