for those who had similar experience. I decided to buy a laptop through ebay USA. One of friends said that I should make sure that there is no import duty for laptops otherwise I would have to pay over 20% of the value .. Can you guys confirm??

just an advice, dont because of the PRICE which attract you to buy then you order it from e-bay

first ~ it will be late delay of the shipping before the product reach your hand

second ~ you might not receive your product too

third ~ since it is risky as well and not advisable , beli je terus at local market ..

just telling the true ,

because i had try order a product from oversea , end up i really wait for a month and when it arrive next to my home , i found out that i receive broken watch LOL

therefore , from the case onward i not dare order something which required imported @.@

I really appreciate your concerns.. I am aware of all what you said. The model I am looking for doesn't exist here in Malaysia. Also, The prices for similar alternatives here are terribly expensive making the model I am buying cheaper even with shipment cost!!

So, anyone know whether there is import duty on laptops or not?

Sometime i do understand the fulfillment of the user requirement even thought the model you want is not available in Malaysia ..

By the way , can i know what model are you talking about ? maybe i can help you try to search around . .


besides , you still can consider another model as well or almost the similar product ^^

hmm , i can't answer your question whether there is import duty on laptop or not , the answer might be yes or no depending on the dealer itself .. and one more thing , make sure the seller mention it able to do the shipping to asian country

what brand and model you looking for? if its hard.. can get the same specs.. there is always be reliable brand here...
