What settings (temp/wattage/joules) do you vape at on your TC mods?

I have several TC (temperature control) mods ; IPV4s and SX Mini now and I end up having to vape well above the 420F limit on most of them. I feel like I'm not really using the TC mod like it's "supposed" to be used, because I'm above the temperature at which organic cotton burns, so I was curious if this is something that others do, too.
Also, does anyone know what the average temperature of a 0.3-0.5 ohm coil is without TC? I'm trying to figure out if this is even necessary or whether it's just a passing fad.

Bro..when u say to see TC works as it suppose to means what? I see that my cotton turned darker and darker. It supposed to turn black right because of the heat from the coil?

Edit: i tried dry burn. Cotton turned dark.

No smoke. Only turn black but can smell the burn.

I started with 365F at 18J. It got burned pretty bad. When changing cotton..the burned cotton already split in half..lol..

Next round after my coil cooled down i hit it with 285F..cotton turned dark also but not as bad as the first one.

i know a guy in usj have some dna40 chip but not sure which ver...selling for RM230, legadget have dna30d chip goin for RM 210...they also have yihi sx350 and sx350j chip goin for RM210 and RM270 but i doubt the yihi chip will able to fix into clouper mini

Grip wise IPV4/s. The TC works the same with ipv3li.

But if you wanna go higher wattage, ipv3li. Build quality higher as well. Solid unlike snowwolf squeeky battery door or the IPV4 taco hold

throw in a old sigelei tube 15w and fogger v5 while we're at it

Found out why my nickel burned out so fast.
Due to my style of vaping. I chain vape a lot.

Im guessing since if i vape at high temperature, the juice vaporize fast and the cotton wont be wet enough for the next draw. 4 to 5 puffs staright will surely blacken my cotton and burn my nickel.
