I love this trick where firstly the spectator selects a card..then the card is returned back to the deck..the deck is then shuffled..withoud looking at the deck of cards, the magician take a piece of blank paper and uses his lighter to heat the paper withoud burning them..and guese wat? the paper reveals the card that the spectator selects..
Can anyone tell me what's the name of this trick? What the magician used on the blank paper? A special pen where the ink can be view after exposing to the lighter's heat?

thanz for the replies..however, florishes are extreamly tough... i heard brian tudor is a bad teacher (not complaining), plus i went to penguin magic web and they say they dont recommend this dvd coz..ull hav to keep on replaying the video thousands of time..."be prepare to spoil at lease 3-4 decks per day" which doesnt make sense to me.. ive been practicing one of the move called madonna in 'the system" by d&d...for about 2 yrs..and yet i cant do it as fast as them! T.T it's smooth but not fast...

Cool post refnulf, you're right. Collecting playing cards is not really the point here, it is all about practice and perfecting your skills...Nothing wrong with collecting playing cards as a hobby, but I personally think it has nothing to do with magic. Magic is all about practising, and performing. Just use the ordinary bycycle deck will do. I personally think, we don't need fancy and expensive stuff like black tiger etc to perform good magic effects..in fact, the simpler the better. Well of course, if you can affort them, go for it. The reason why I don't use them is because people will think they're gaffed. I would say, stick to something that doesnt look too fancy, after all magic is all about simplicity. I think it is ok to use split spades, ghost (not the black ones), but in US, ordinary Bicycle playing cards are identical to most of them. If ppl see these cards behave in a different manner, they'll shock! To them it's magic!
