Yeah... Citi should have at least allowed OTP for sole purpose of Mobile Token activation even after 01st July 2023. But probably too close between the cessation of OTP mandated by BNM (July 2023 onwards) and their scheduled migration to UOB (14-16 July 2023), they could not be bothered.

Come to think of it, the mandate by BNM to switch to app-based authentication started earlier in the year. Citi was slowest of all the banks I am using.

That's why ready popcorn and wait for chaos and shitshow from 14/07/2023 onwards for Citi users.

Either way has to go branch - counter or ATM. Maybe the UOB ATMs will be updated from 16th July onward to "recognize" Citi cards as their own and the function will appear to register online banking from there onward.

Registration for online banking through app started again today.

UOB did have record of my mobile to send over OTP and I received it. But could not get passed this stage:

UOB app quite annoying everytime need to enter OTP to login even after biometric/ password entry.

Is it because Secure PIN not activated yet?
