I got the redemption code via email from 'Citibank Malaysia' after 20 days of application I would suggest you to call the assigned officer, the one who called you for verification before submission of application

Not waive your AF. They will say wait the AF being charge first and request again (it is a trap as once you spend on the card after AF being charge, you are oblige to pay!). Or some cases they will say put in balance transfer then we can waive for you etc. basically there are lots of terms in order for you to waive the AF. My conclusion is the AF is very very very difficult to waive. Please cancel your card early if you are those who not keen to pay AF.
My spending on the platinum card ( to redeems points) up to around 50k per year but they ask me to waive with points last year. There are so many good cards outside, please don't waste your precious time! My sincere advise.

I called, and the officer in-charge of my account said that she only can let me know whether it can be waived or not after the AF is being charged.

In previous years, I obtained confirmation a month before the AF.  This year, she said it's different.

Also, she said that after AF is charged on March, and if I decided to cancel my card in April (if cannot be waived), then I don't have to pay for the AF.

I received this sms from citibank just now..which i dunno what transaction..



Suddenly about 3 mins i received this sms..which not my transaction..



And suddenly more transaction comes



Luckily i called the customer services and blocked the card immediately..so now i just wait..maybe or maybe not to pay the fraud charged..grrrrrrr

After blocked still the transaction comes in..

I googled the words "google powercell" its an apps or games of android at google store..someone hacked my android phone i.e my galaxy tab..

Citibank gave me waiver for my cash back card previously but last month they won't give. Offered to change to other card. Said no and they didn't bother to retain.

Terminate the card and I'm not going to use their card while I have other choices. Good riddance.

Before this my friend who work as cc promoter told me citibank will waive first 3 years annual fee for citibank cashback. But just now he told me citibank not going to waive the af for cashback card as it is a loss business if i made a full settlement every month.

I think i going to cancel it before my trip

slightly different from mine last year, in Oct. Not willing to waive until it has been charged. after it was charged i called in, it was waived easily.
