QUOTE(Lord_Penguin @ Oct 6 2015, 12:28 PM) I got the redemption code via email from 'Citibank Malaysia' after 20 days of application I don have her contact number. Only email.. N I sent email to her,she no response. I think I shall cancel the card if I still yet to receive the code by this month with complaint letter, so that she won't get her Comm..This post has been edited by mamamia: Oct 6 2015, 01:22 PM |

QUOTE(karcity @ Oct 9 2015, 12:32 AM) Guys, please do not waste your time on AF waiver related issues. I have been posted many times in this thread. Citibank is one of the bank which will Yeah... This is the lc bank that hardly waive AF.. That's y their sales team got biz.. Coz ppl can cancel n reapply after 6 months with sign up / welcome gift..Not waive your AF. They will say wait the AF being charge first and request again (it is a trap as once you spend on the card after AF being charge, you are oblige to pay!). Or some cases they will say put in balance transfer then we can waive for you etc. basically there are lots of terms in order for you to waive the AF. My conclusion is the AF is very very very difficult to waive. Please cancel your card early if you are those who not keen to pay AF. My spending on the platinum card ( to redeems points) up to around 50k per year but they ask me to waive with points last year. There are so many good cards outside, please don't waste your precious time! My sincere advise. |

QUOTE(den @ Jan 6 2016, 11:35 PM) I called, and the officer in-charge of my account said that she only can let me know whether it can be waived or not after the AF is being charged. Remember to jot down the officer name, date and time of ur callIn previous years, I obtained confirmation a month before the AF. This year, she said it's different. Also, she said that after AF is charged on March, and if I decided to cancel my card in April (if cannot be waived), then I don't have to pay for the AF. |

Call to Citibank to ask for AF charge date. The CS straight away advise the date and say that I won't get charge for this year as she helps me to do advance request to waive the AF straight away even without me to request for that..

QUOTE(outsider @ Aug 10 2016, 10:08 PM) Before this my friend who work as cc promoter told me citibank will waive first 3 years annual fee for citibank cashback. But just now he told me citibank not going to waive the af for cashback card as it is a loss business if i made a full settlement every month. Try to call up before ur AF charged.. My AF due end of Aug, I call last week, the CS straight away waive for me without me asking.I think i going to cancel it before my trip |

QUOTE(adele123 @ Aug 11 2016, 08:51 AM) slightly different from mine last year, in Oct. Not willing to waive until it has been charged. after it was charged i called in, it was waived easily. Normally I will call b4 they charge to confirm when they will charge n jot down the officer name. If cs said can only try to waive after charged, then I will asked if can't waive, can I cancel without paying, if cs said no, I will straight cancel, if cs said yes, then I will wait it charged n call again.. Most important is get confirmation b4 hand, any dispute can still argue based on last conversation. |
