I didn't threaten. smile.gif They offered automatically. In the past, I asked if they will waive, they said yes.
These few years, they will send me SMS.

Anyway, I have other cards to spend which offer better returns compared to PM.

do u have any other type of account in citibank beside cc? Maybe you are the VIP so your AL can auto waived. biggrin.gif

You mean Maybank 2 cards give you the better return? As i spend a lot in ewallet top up, so citi pm is the best choice for me so far..

Hi guys, just checking. Will citibank really entertain customer's request to waive annual fees? I'm using the citibank cashback card - and I use it very frequently.

Called up CS and I was advised that I can only make such request (to waive) once it has been billed. My concern is, once it has been billed, I will have no leverage to cancel card if they don't want to waive the fees (ie. I must pay annual fees before I can cancel). Thoughts anyone?

CS advised me to call before bill.. blush.gif
i just 'forced' to pay my AF for my premiermile card...

i tot usually if u havent used the card, u can cancel the card despite the annual fees is charged and it will not be charged for that yet...for sst u will have to pay though ....but usually i will try to call before my annual fees date , if they wnat to charge just say u want to cancel and usually it will be waived

I have quite a lot PM in my card..cant afford to lost the points. They only able rebate RM100 for my AF, still have to pay RM500.

I am using Citi PM card. Just saw this article from RinggitPlus

https://ringgitplus.com/en/blog/credit-card...lite-world.html

The redemption rate is damn bad for UNIRM.

Previously, eg I spent 12k on my Citi card, I can get 4k premier miles.
Redemption rate is 1500 premier miles to 1000 KrisFlyer.
So I can get 2666 Krisflyer miles.

Now, with UOB PRVI Miles Elite, spent 12k get 12k UNIRM.
Redemption rate is 9000 UNIRM to 1000 KrisFlyer.
So I can get only 1333 Krisflyer miles. Lost exactly half the value.

Guess gone are the day. Find other better card now.
*
hi, how you know the redemption rate is 9k UNIRM to 1000 KF Miles ya? UOB PRVI Miles Elite is not mentioned in the list yet..

PRVI Miles is not same as PRVI Miles Elite

And based on this statement from Citibank:
Citi also reassured customers that they do not have to worry about their accumulated points being forfeited following this development. “Rest assured that your unredeemed Rewards points and miles will be transferred to United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Berhad at an equivalent value, and you will be able to redeem them upon completion of migration,” the bank shared in the notice as well.

I guess the redemption rate should be 4500 UNRM to 1000 KF Miles. Still need confirmation from UOB after 1-Jul-2023. If the rate really bad, then have to redeem it before 11 July 2023... doh.gif

just received an email

https://www.uob.com.my/personal/cards/credi...tion/index.html

1 Citi PremierMile is worth 6 UNIRM

Currently is 1500 PM = 1000 Airmiles
After migration, 1500 PM X 6 = 9000 UNIRM = 1000 Airmiles (which is equivalent value)

user posted image

After 16-Jul, RM1 spend locally = 1 UNIRM...means I need to spend RM9000 to only get 1000 Airmiles..need to spend another RM4500..(currently is RM4500 to get 1000 airmiles) blink.gif

But still not sure UOB PRVI Miles Elite is under 9000 UNIRM or 11,500 UNIRM category?

are u sure no more point given for e wallet top up from CT premier miles? when start?

he said UOB is no point given for ewallet topup.

I think ewallet top up still giving point for UOB cards, ewallet top up is not in the exclusion list.

Looks like I’ll be cancelling my card soon.

Received the email. My Citi Prestige is being replaced by UOB Zenith card.

Downgrade from Mastercard Loungekey to this PPL crap…

Free airport limo only valid until this Sept.

Redemption rates seem to be a lot less valuable.

I have about 1mil points now, any advice on what should I do with them before it gets transferred to unirm?

The thing I will miss most is skipping security queue at the airports with World Elite status… :x

if u gonna to cancel it and not even use it after the card conversion, better convert now, make no difference...unless u not plan to redeem them and keep them as green

Icic I saw that ewallet was on exclusion list on another uob card tnc. So it's card specific. Guess will have to test it when its converted to UOB. Thanks for the info.

Actually if u use for local spend later..It quite useless, 9k or 11500 to get 1k miles

UOB PRVI Miles Elite should be infinite tier card, the conversion rate should b 9000 UNIRM to 1000 KF.

For UOB VI, conversion to miles on birthday month get 2000 KF.

If PRVI Miles Elite point conversion follows UOB VI, then best card for oversea spending! Local spend still RM4500 to get 1000 KF (redemption on bday month)

Can't really confirm yet..
This is the reply I got from UOB CS

We are pleased to inform you that 1000 Krisflyer Miles requires 11,500 UNIRM PRVI Miles credit card points for redemption.

Better convert before the migration.

for Prvi Miles Elite, 1500 PM * 6 = 9000 UNIRM = 1000 KF

If you guys wanna keep the points after migrated to UOB, is still fine.

please correct me if I'm wrong.
I have a supp Citi premiermiles, which I understand will be change to UOB privimiles by Oct 2023?
Meanwhile all Citibank privileges will remain? Mainly want to know if I can still use the free KLIA limo
*
Just go and see the benefits, is all in the UOB website. All benefits still remain.
Just the miles points depreciated.. RM9000 local spend = 9000 UNIRM = 1000 Airmiles (Citi time was RM4500 = 1000 Airmiles)
